The Volkl Aurua, sleek, sexy and oh so perfect for any which way you ladies might want to blast through the white stuff. Following last years Mantra, the Aurua women’s specific design embraces a lightweight wood core combined with the Power Construction of traditional vertical sidewalls and torsion box interval lay-up to bring superglue grip, statuesque stability and the utmost sensitivity. Take notice of the strips of Balsa that Volkl incorporated in the laminations, providing less weight and a softer flex. The Aurua incorporates a 94mm waist, a full 20/20 Wood Core and 2 sheets of titanium to make it the perfect ski for advanced women in any condition.

  • Power Construction:Volkl’s longest running construction, Power Construction utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. Featured in Race Stock skis as well as all Freesking models, this construction provides tremendous grip, stability, and sensitivity when combined with the light Sensorwood core.

Demo 12 different high performance all mountain skis at Jackson Hole in Feb 07 in all conditions, powder to bumps to to ice to slush. The Aura was the last ski tested and it felt perfect on the first run. Bought 2 pairs from Evogear. One for my daughter, 20 years old, and the wife loves them, she's 50.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    I first tried these at a tele demo day. They were amazing! I tried them again on a different day and was hooked. I am telemarking with them at resorts in the Rockies and have yet to find an inbounds condition that they don't excel at. They have become my "quiver of one." Not a ski for a beginner, but anyone from an intermediate on up could use them.

    Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
