Volkl Attiva Fuego Skis + eMotion 11.0 TC Bindings - Women's 2011: The Volkl Attiva Fuego is an outstanding piece of mountain racing equipment. The Bio-Logic Geometry lends it enormous turn-friendliness and reduces stress peaks at the end of turns. The Bio-Logic Stance promotes a more dynamic body posture and assists female skiers with the initiation of turns. To make this already sporting ski even more agile, the lightweight woodcore was reinforced with a thin steel insert.
Construction
The unique Motion iPT interface allowed Volkl engineers to further develop their signature Double Grip construction, creating Extended Double Grip. The added height extends from tip and tail, placing more material where it’s needed-in support of the edges. Extended Double Grip has the mist consistent pressure distribution of any construction Volkl has ever created, offering more control, and better performance.
Bindings
The Attiva eMotion 11.0 TC binding system features the raise-toe, Bio-Logic stance along with the Triple Pivot Comfort toe adapted from Marker’s Royal Family bindings. The toe is shorter and lighter in weight, with boosted power transmission. A shorter interface that goes from 260 to 330mm means the shortest possible footprint on the ski for optimum flex. The interface is designed for women’s skis with waist widths between 70 and 79mm.
Included Bindings
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.
Core and Flex Pattern
The Extended (XTD) Wood Core is used in Extended Double Grip constructions. More forgiving than the Extended Sensorwood Core, it consists of a full-length wood core sitting beneath the Extended Double Grip chambers.
