Volkl AC 30 Skis + Marker iPT 14.0 Wide Ride Bindings 2010: Ample waist width and exceptionally carving on groomed terrain make the Volkl AC 30 Skis with the Marker iPT 14.0 Wide Ride Bindings excel in both front and backside skiing. Perfect for any expert skier that wants a reliable all-mountain cruising ski that can handle a powder day.

  • Core and Flex Pattern:The Volkl AC 30 Skis emphasize strength and flexibility with an extended wood core that consists of two full-length wood cores along each side of the ski laminated to the bottom layer with steel.
  • Construction:The Volkl AC 30 Skis feature an extended double grip construction that utilizes dual longitudinal chambers with fiberglass layers inside to support the edges while still maintaining a clean balance between longitudinal and torsional flex. The added height extends from tip to tail, placing more material in support of the edges with a consistent pressure distribution that offers more control for a better performance.
  • Bindings:The Marker iPT Wide Ride interface is 30% wider than the original iPT, with new components to the toe and heel pieces for a more secure wrap on the boot lug and increased directional elasticity in the heel. The iPT Wide Ride bindings also have a lighter weight and shorter connection to the ski allowing you to have a wide ski that’s as easy to handle and maneuver as a skinny one.

Comments about Volkl AC 30 Skis + Marker iPT 14.0 Wide Ride Bindings 2010:

I needed help. My wife and I had the experience of skiing Taos powder. It was tough going for a couple who just turned 60. After some research, I decided to give the Volkl AC30/Marker iPT14.0 skis and bindings a shot. After only one outing, I am impressed with the versatility of the ski. The wide base allows the ski to float well and yet, the carving ability has not been sacrificed. I look forward to leaving powder timidity behind.

Comments about Volkl AC 30 Skis + Marker iPT 14.0 Wide Ride Bindings 2010:

I've been skiing for 46 years and have been loyal to the Volkl brand for the past 22 years (Explosiv SL, P20, P50, AC50, AC30). For my first 30 years of skiing, feet close together (ski like Stein) was the norm and I continued to ski like that until I purchased AC50's in 2008. The nature of this ski forces you to adopt a wider stance or you will cross your tips. I traded in my 184cm AC50's for 177cm AC30's last season and found them easier to ski. Both of these models grip well on ice and plow through crud like a dream. I just have a problem with becoming a "carver". I've got to keep telling myself that: "change is good".

Comments about Volkl AC 30 Skis + Marker iPT 14.0 Wide Ride Bindings 2010:

These skis will go wherever you dare to take them. I ski primarily in Colorado. Cruisers, hold on, these stick to hardpack like a train on rails! Beware, they will not chatter at speed! In the bumps, they are just a little stiff, but with good technique, are still very manageable and fun. Crud, a knife through butter.
