Comments about Surface Watch Life Skis 2010:

There are some burly skis. They ride well, float nicely, but they're fairly heavy. It's not a big deal until you throw 'em over your shoulder, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Get them sharpened and keep them sharp; carving is a bit tough compared to regular old skis.

Great sticks, and they really turn heads too!

Comments about Surface Watch Life Skis 2010:

After 30+ days on the hill this season, here is my take on these skis. I love the way they ride. They are stiff and powerful skis, yet are still fun and poppy. The bases do feel a bit slow, even with a fresh wax I get left behind by my buddies on snowboards when we hit the flats. The one thing that really drives me nuts with these skis is the durability - I ride hard, but don't think I abuse my stuff. And after a season on these, the topsheet is chipped like mad! I repaired it a couple times with epoxy, but now I've just given up. It doesn't really bother me, as it doesn't affect the performance of the ski, but it is annoying.

Comments about Surface Watch Life Skis 2010:

I got these Watch Life's based on some very strong local cred here in Utah. I called Surface in SLC with some questions and guess what they answered the phone! They recommended the 182's based on my size and skiing type. I ordered from EVO (great [...] cost [...]) and the Watch Life's and bindings showed up just in time for one of the best December sessions ever in Utah. I use these boards for just about everything - greens and blues with the littles, chasing the middle schoolers through the side country and blasting the powder when I can get off work. These skis really work with the Utah conditions. One downside is the performance in icy conditions, they aren't bad, but I wouldn't recommend these skis for eastern type cement. Also, if you are older (like over 30) set the bindings back at least 3cm. from boot center, I leave the park stunts to the kids.

Comments about Surface Watch Life Skis 2010:

These skis absolutely rip down the mountain. I used them this weekend at Beaver Creek and Vail. They love to fly down groomed trails and only want to go fast through the bumps.

If you don't like going fast these are not the skis for you. They handle much better the fast you are moving.

They may be a little bit heavy but I'm not using them to climb 14ers - I'm using them to hit the resorts and a bit of slack country.

As soon as I get these mounted, I'll post back a better review, but for now all I can say is that they are so dang purty. Yep, that's right folks. These little babies are a work of art. Can't wait to get them out on the hill.
