Perfect park ski. Spins to win and will slay any jib with a playful nimbleness. Butters in a pinch and has just enough rocker to keep you standing when your heavy head knocks you off balance. Handles well at low and moderate speeds but chatters like a 13 year old cheerleader through hard crud. Rides switch just like it was riding forward, just watch out for too much speed. Overall this ski kills it for the New School crowd. Do not size down with this ski and stability will become less of an issue at speed.

Let me start by saying this the funnest park ski I've ever been on. Kills it on rails, mad pop for ollies/ nollies, super responsive, light for spinning but not too light to be scary for jumps. Love the ride but.....

The top sheets suck, started peeling within days, no big right? Nah, I've snapped 2 pairs of these in 30days of skiing. I'm on my third pair now which so far have lasted me 10ish days? That being said I don't expect them to last the rest of the season. I really like the guys at surface and the rest of their stuff I've heard great things about, but the top sheet is whats giving these sticks trouble. I'd imagine next year's model will be better. Fun ski, poor construction.

Comments about Surface Nine Life Skis 2010:

Great skis for the price. Very slick on snow, you can get good speed. Good on boxes and rails. Decently light weight. Cool design. However, they are chipping quickly so durability isn't to great. The back tips aren't as high as they should be so it is difficult to ride switch. In powder, tough to turn due to bad grip. Pretty nice skies though and I got them for a very reasonable price.

Super quick and poppy. A lot of fun. Its a good idea to sand down the tip and tail and shave off the topsheet on the sides so it is round. Use something called a surface shaver. I would throw in a link but it says no html's.

This thing chips really easy. After my first day skiing with them, huge chunks were missing along the top sheets edges (I wasn't skiing park). They are a little bumpy at high speeds.

They are a decent skis. They aren't bad, but if your a normal person who can't afford 600 dollar skis every year to break, these are for you. Does all this technical stuff matter? You just want skis to screw around with in the park, right?

This is a very playful ski letting you do virtually anything in the park and pipe areas. This ski doesn't take a beating very well so it doesn't last more than a few years. But this is a lightweight very soft ski for the park and pipe. Keep in mind this is not for heavier riders, ideal ski for the lighter people out there shredin' the park.

Comments about Surface Nine Life Skis 2010:

I like to butter everything all day every day, so these skis had just the kind of soft flex that I was looking for. Soft skis always come at the expense of a stable high speed ride, but with 182s, I feel good going into every jump less than 50 feet, which is as big as I ever want to go anyways. Initially, the skis had quite a bit of camber, but after one day of riding, the camber in the tail just about reversed, so it almost has an early rise. Not a problem in my book as I just love buttering...but if you're looking for a competition pipe ski, I'd for sure go to something stiffer.

        Park rat approved.

Comments about Surface Nine Life Skis 2010:

I got these skiis to try to learn how to freestyle skii, and i was looking for something with good reviews and not so expensive for a beginner. When i found these they looked good and i expected them to be cheap and not fun to ride on at all. I was totally wrong! These skiis were great and especially forgiving, so i was out in the park all day and learned pretty fast and became pretty good on the rails. Great skiis!! I have already recommended to all of my friends who are going up this season!
