He can ride any skis he wants, however his skis of choice are the Surface Live Life Skis. Easy to maneuver due to its light weight (8.6lbs for the 181cm version) and featuring a hybrid rocker (camber under foot and early rise rocker) this is the ski for those that want a versatile ski that can rip the mountain top to bottom.

Product Details

Early Rise Hybrid technology makes for an extremely smooth turn initiation and exit, along with keeping the tip of those boards on top of the deepest snow. The Hybrid Camber underfoot allows for that edge hold when snow tends to firm up or when terrain gets steeper and you need that extra bite.

Comments about Surface Live Life Skis 2012:

I love this ski! Super lightweight, playful, durable, responsive, and amazing for everyday, but really shine on powder days! The tails are incredible responsive when you try and pop but they're not so soft that they wash out like some rockered skis. I love touring in them too because they're incredibly light and have no problem at all with my BD skins. Definitely a great, all around playful ski!

Very playful and easy to engage in a turn. Reverse camber makes pow riding very surfy, but ski still holds a good edge on hard pack.

Nice light ski for touring for pow.

Flex pattern is kind of wierd - most of the ski is fairly stiff, but the tail is really soft.

Comments about Surface Live Life Skis 2012:

I demoed these skis last year and bought them this year. Demoed several powder skis an several inchec of new snow, and these were by far the most playful and fun to ride. They hold their own on most types of terrain, but have great floatation and really excel at steeps and powder skiing. I also know some people that really like these in the backcountry.

Comments about Surface Live Life Skis 2012:

These are incredibly versatile skis. Lightweight and good for touring but fat enough to shred on the deepest pow days. They truly are a one ski quiver! Camber underfoot provides great grip and carving ability on groomers or firm snow, but the early rise in the tip and tail provide great flotation in the pow. Overall these are awesome skis! I would recommend mounting bindings a few cm's back from center.

Comments about Surface Live Life Skis 2012:

This is the perfect one ski quiver. It performs in all conditions. Floats in powder on big snow days. Tears through the crud. The rocker even flow through moguls and not too big under foot to lay it over on a groomer. If you want to have a ski that does it ALL this is the ski for you.

Comments about Surface Live Life Skis 2012:

Awesome skis. First time out was on a groomer day. Thought they skied very well for pow/rockered skis. Chomped right through the crud as well. Bit heavier than my groomer day skis (obviously), but still a solid performer. Pow days are an absolute thrill as well. Now just needs more SNOW!!!

Comments about Surface Live Life Skis 2012:

I say so much FUN! because that's my constant thought when I'm on these skis. The ski really does everything well and skis powder like a dream! I've had enough days now to know that it's always good! I also can't believe how well it skis hard. You can really push these skis down steeps, through crud and variable junk. These skis will give you great days on any mountain!
