Product Info

The Scott Xplor'Air Skis are for the adrenaline seeking all-mountain adventurer. A wood core coupled with air-channel construction minimizes weight and improves performance. Scott also placed a carbon fiber top sheet on this ski to add rigidity while reducing overall weight. Moderate rocker in the tip allows this ski to bust through variable snow conditions and gives the Xplor'Air a more forgiving and ride while camber under foot adds power and pop to your turns.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Scott Pro Tip Rocker 350Pro-Tip rocker combines a progressive shape with increased tip height and radius. Pro-Tip produces a more consistent ski flex and provides more predictable turns. Pro-Tip also increases stability in deep snow and provides a more forgiving ride.

Sidecut

Dual RadiusTraditional skis have a fixed radius that determines the length of every turn. Scott skis combine two radii (dual radius) to create the sidecut or “shape” of the ski. By incorporating the Dual Radius concept, the ski can turn when you want it to turn, resulting in a more versatile ski which is not confined to one type of skiing or terrain.

Laminates

SSCL Carbon - Sandwich Sidewall Construction Laminate CarbonThe combination of a sandwich wood core construction with carbon laminates results in a lightweight performance construction ideally suited for ski touring.

3D Carbon FrameThis innovative carbon laminate ski construction creates an exceptionally lightweight touring ski while dramatically increasing torsional rigidity and dynamic performance on steeps.

Additional Features

Factory FinishScott skis come direct from the factory "ready to ski" with Scott factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Comments about Scott Xplor'Air Skis 2012:

I bought these to use as an all-mountain ski despite the fact that they are a part of Scott's 'Touring Ski Series.'

I put a pair of Marker Griffon Schizo bindings on them and have been extremely happy with the result. They are very responsive, very sharp looking, and durable. Not much to dislike. Can definitely be your all mountain ski especially in the variable conditions in the Northeast.

Love the ski!! Got is for Xmas 2014. Skied 4 days so far in various conditions and couldn't be happier. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal.

I mounted Marker Griffons to them to use as down hill skis.
