Scott Mission Skis 2012: Thanks to a wide body and short sidecut, the Scott Mission Skis perform flawlessly in varied snow conditions for all skiers. The 350mm Pro-Tip Rocker offers the perfect balance of edge control and float. A wood core triaxial laminate construction provides the perfect amount of flex, allowing the Mission to effortlessly jump from edge to edge.
Shape
Combining a progressive shape with increased tip height and radius creates Pro-Tip Rocker (350mm), producing a more consistent ski flex and predictable turns. With Pro-Tip Rocker the Mission skis more progressively, improves ski agility, increases stability in powder and deep snow, and provides forgiveness, allowing the skier to adjust turn shape.
Dual Radius creates a more versatile ski that can turn when you want it to.
Pre-Track means Scott skis have wide tips and slightly turned up tails for a variable effective edge depending on the terrain you’re on.
Construction
SSCL Light is a Sandwich Sidewall Construction with a Laminate top and bottom sheet. Forgiving and responsive, the SSCL has specific braiding and laminate combination to guarantee the best possible construction for its intended use. By incorporating lighter materials into the SSCL construction process, the Mission is lighter weight without sacrificing performance.
Factory Finish with side edges ground at 89 degrees, base edges ground between .5 and .8 degrees for exceptional performance, and base finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind
Flex
A hardwood core with laminates makes the Mission more forgiving but still lively.

Comments about Scott Mission Skis 2012:

These skis deliver as advertised. The camber allows for reliable, responsive carving and when they get into new snow they are a dream to ride. I am even impressed with their responsiveness in the bumps. I went with a longer size and was a little concerned they might be a bit much to manage there, but I have not had a concern. I highly recommend this ski! The only downside? Being brand new I'm scared to ding them up! :)

Comments about Scott Mission Skis 2012:

No longer is mission-ary style boring! These planks skied great on my few outings this winter. Can't wait for some more turns in the coming weeks. First outing they seemed a bit squirrelly before I really dug into them. They definitely like to be ridden hard. Don't be coy with these babies and they will give you many happy endings on the slopes.
