Scott Mega-Dozer Skis 2012

The best of both worlds, the Scott Mega-Dozer Skis features a 3D sidecut that allows it to float through soft snow while maintaining edge control and responsiveness. The progressive 3D sidecut coupled with reinforced sandwich sidewalls give the Mega-Dozer unrivaled performance on hardpack too.
Shape
Twin-Tip Rocker (400mm tip, 300mm tail) shape places Rocker on both the tip and tail of this twin tip ski to allow for maximum float when riding both forward and switch. Tail Rocker also improves ski handling in powder by allowing the tail of the ski to sit deeper in the snow while bringing the tip up.
A 3D Sidecut combines 2 radii with a central flat line that allows for the Mega-Dozers to drive off-piste while still maintaining substantial edge hold on-piste.
Dual Radius creates a more versatile ski that can turn when you want it to.
Construction
SSCL Triax is a Sandwich Sidewall Construction with a Laminate top and bottom sheet. Forgiving and responsive, the SSCL has specific braiding and laminate combination to guarantee the best possible construction for its intended use. SSCL Triax combines a reinforced triaxial laminate to deliver exceptionally strong and lightweight skis.
Factory Finish with side edges ground at 89 degrees, base edges ground between .5 and .8 degrees for exceptional performance, and base finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind
Flex
A hardwood core with laminates makes the Mega-Dozer more forgiving but still lively.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

Review Scott Mega Dozer

Comments about Scott Mega-Dozer Skis 2012:

I took the Mega Dozer out on a day with no new snow and was impressed with how it handled groomers and a bit of fresh of the side of the trails. It was quicker than I expected and held an edge as if it was 20mm narrower. I wasn't a ski that blew me away but I was happy that when compared to similar skis it seemed like it had less of a speed limit.

Comments about Scott Mega-Dozer Skis 2012:

Wanted longer skis then my Fischer Watea 187cm. These are 195cm. They do great on groomed runs. They carve well & track strait without always wanting to be turning. Kept me floating on only 8" of new snow. Able to turn through tight trees. I've finally found a ski I can go fast on groomers & still use for powder.
