Comments about Salomon XW Fury Skis + Z14 Bindings 2009:

These skis do everything well. There are better skis for powder and better skis for moguls, but there are probably not skis that are better at both than these. They would be perfect (instead of just great) for me if they had twin tips. At the price I got them for from Evo ([$]), which included the Z14 bindings, these skis are unbeatable. If I skiied more out West (instead of the 4-5 days per year I do), I would certainly have gotten skis with a wider waist, but since the rest of my 15-20 ski days per year are in the icy East, these are really ideal.

Comments about Salomon XW Fury Skis + Z14 Bindings 2009:

I demoed these and about 5 others at sunapee nh last season. It was a toss up between the Atomic Crimson Ti (Faster)and the Fury(better control). These also came with stronger bindings as I am 6'3" 295 and ski too fast for my corpulence. If I were 23 yrs old and 50 pounds lighter I may have went with the crimsons. I can ski the Furies allday and attack whatever the mountain offers me.

Comments about Salomon XW Fury Skis + Z14 Bindings 2009:

I ski the hills of the UP of Mich. Only 500 vert. After 25 days of skiing, 20 of those days in fresh or cut-up I've got a smile on my face. Stays on track in the cut-up, very predictable and smooth in 12in. of Lake Superior feather light. If you're in the fresh this is your bullet. Not designed for boiler plate.

      Service and delivery comments:

A 5 star rating with quick, prompt delivery and a great product. Thanks EVO.

Comments about Salomon XW Fury Skis + Z14 Bindings 2009:

Great all mountain ski. I ski at Sunday River in Maine. The ski is great on the hard and soft pack as well as the moguls. I haven't had more than 8 inches of powder but good so far. Very stable and quick turning. Forgiving in the bumps.

Comments about Salomon XW Fury Skis + Z14 Bindings 2009:

I rented a pair of these last year and I was so impressed that I had to find me a pair. I'm 40 now and I've been skiing for 29 years so I'm quite a strong skier. These are by far the best skis I've ever used. They are very quick and hold an edge brilliantly. I love bumps and these are awesome in them. I have taken them off-piste much yet. They were quite respectable in powder, but they are not powder skis. All in all I would recommend these to any aggressive skier who skis reds and blacks hard. Just check your weight and DIN setting to see if you should get Z12 or Z14 bindings. The only difference between these is the DIN setting. I've skied these on some steep blacks in Chamonix and some good backcountry in Val Thorens and they handle it all with ease.
