We’ve matched the Salomon X-Wing Cyclone Skis with the Z10 Bindings for mountain enthusiasts. This pairing has a well balanced 73mm all mountain ski that offers stability and maneuverability. The smart sidecut and chassis combination increases your athletic performance while giving you a perfect edge grip on groomers.
- Core and Flex Pattern:The core of the Salomon X-Wing Cyclone Skis is a durable composite with Monocoque construction and titanium reinforcement.
- Construction:Monocoque (French for "single shell") or unibody is a construction technique that uses the external skin of an object to support some or most of the load on the structure. This is as opposed to using an internal framework (or spaceframe) that is then covered with a non-load-bearing skin. Monocoque construction was first widely used in aircraft, starting in the 1930s, and is the predominant automobile construction technology today. This method gives the ski a better ability to support weight while staying light and cutting harder.
- Bindings:Salomon paired this Z10 configuration with a slightly wider 80-90mm ski brake bar, making it a practical performance choice for wide-waist carving and all-mountain skis, especially if you're an aggressive intermediate or advanced skier. This season Salomon continued their Z-concept binding collection with improved lateral rigidity and shock absorption.
