Product Info

Salomon Scrambler 8 Skis- Like all of the skis in the series, Salomon’s Scrambler 8 is designed to be a one ski quiver, a real all mountain ski. The Scrambler 8 is the combination of the width of a midfat, with the sidecut of a slalom race ski. That means it loves to carve up the groomers but has deep snow floatation unlike any race slalom ski. Be a true renaissance man (or woman) of the mountain, know it all and ski it all on the Salomon Scrambler 8’s.

Comments about Salomon Scrambler 8 Skis + Bindings - Used 2006:

Great skis, used them on a Whistler day with 54 cm of new snow. They were perfect skis by mid afternoon for the packed powder. Not too bad in deep powder but i think that is to be expected with an All Mountain Ski.

Comments about Salomon Scrambler 8 Skis + Bindings - Used 2006:

I bought a pair of these from a rental place after a year of demo rentals. These performed better than any other ski I have ridden in the past. On the groomers they make nice, smooth turns that you can't get enough of. Because of the construction and the deep cuts, they are really quick and responsive. They do fine in the bumps, nothing too special here. Trees are a blast because when you want to turn, you turn......and with no downtime. As soon as you start the turn you're already around the trees. Don't get me wrong, they aren't jumpy in a bad way, they have a nice pop that makes turn transitions easy, even when the conditions aren't great. The powder is where I was really impressed with these skis. They're very wide at the tip so they have a surprising amount of float even when things get really deep. Recently at a day at Vail there was maybe 8 inches of powder with pretty chunky crud underneath. My dad who rides a pair of Fisher Big Stix was grinding all over the chunks while I was floating right over it. They can make somewhat insignificant powder seem twice as deep because they float so well. All in all they are the ideal all-mountain ski. Not only can they do every kind of skiing but they do it well. If they were stolen i would definitely buy another pair. But if they were stolen...then the robber has great taste in skis.

I have never been on a ski that felt so wonderful as these skis. I can not say enough positives. They actually felt like an extention of myself effortlessly. They carved, they glided and they did not chatter, which is very important to me. I felt like a completely different skier my first time out on these skis.

Comments about Salomon Scrambler 8 Skis + Bindings - Used 2006:

This really is a great all purpose ski. Just got back from Utah. Great on hard packed and in moguls. Then we got 13" of fresh at Alta and I was surprised at their responsiveness in the powder.

This ski is as advertised. It's a great versatile and all terrain ski. Handles well in all conditions. I highly recommend.
