No friends on a powder day, eh? That's fine. With the Salomon Rocker2 Jr Skis, now the groms can venture out on their own without wallowing in the deep stuff. Twin rocker shape and tapered tip and tail make this ski as capable as the rest of the Rocker family. Built with the same woodcore and semi sandwich construction as all other Rocker2 skis, nothing was spared on this ski; the Rocker2 Jr really is a no-holds-barred kid's powder ski. Because when the snow starts falling, the only choice is to shred the pow!
Twin Rocker Long, low rocker shape at the tip and tail enables more playful, easy pivoting in powder and excellent flotation. Retains long contact zone on edge with camber in the middle of the ski for stability in all-mountain skiing.
Hook Free Taper 5 Point sidecut shape with taper at the tip and tail for easier turning in deep and variable snow
Wood Core Stability on snow and smooth ski/snow contact
Pulse Pad Two layers of rubber elastomer in the tip, tail, and underfoot; absorbs shock on hard landings and increases ski-snow contact and durability.
Semi-Sandwich Sidewall A combination of ABS sidewall in the middle of the ski and monocoque in the tip and tail means edge grip underfoot and light weight in the tip and tail.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
|Tip Width (mm)||117|
|Waist Width (mm)||97|
|Tail Width (mm)||109|
|Turning Radius (m)||16.9|
|Indiv. Ski Weight (g)||1570|

Comments about Salomon Rocker2 Jr Skis - Boy's 2015:
My 12 year old wore me down on these rockers. We are all avid skiers and he is awesome! Until now, I have been pushing for a rocker camber rocker profile for him, but he is starting to spend a lot more time off piste and this ski seemed like a great fit. I think he will have to work harder in the bumps, but I hope the pay off will be worth it. I think he will be riding them all winter even if we have to travel to find snow!
