The Salomon Rocker2 Jr Skis are no-holds-barred powder skis for young rippers who already see past the park and can't stay away from the deep stuff. These skis are huge underfoot for their lengths, and with a twin tip profile the little guys can get as playful as they want to. Built like an adult ski with a semi-sandwich wood core and a real five point sidecut, the Rocker2 Jr is the tool you wish you had at their age.
Rocker Type
Twin Rocker - Playful and maneuverable in any snow, with enough rocker to float the fluff in either direction.
Five Point Sidecut - Tapered at tip and tail with the widest part of the ski back from the tip, this shape is great for increased float and directional stability in deep snow.
Hook Free Taper
Semi-Sandwich Construction - A mini-cap built on top of a sandwich design locks in liveliness and helps dampen the ski.
Total Edge Reinforcement - A fiber reinforcement is laid directly on the edges, improving edge stiffness, durability and grip.
Additional Features
Oversized Pulse Pad - An elastomer layer is placed all along the edge and/or the whole front part of the ski. The result is shock absorption and anti-vibration for smoother and softer ski/snow contact.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Powder
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
These skis are for the deep days. If you like to find powder stashes at your local resort, go on backcountry missions for the freshest of fresh or heli ski trips to BC, powder skis are what you need to stay afloat. Skis in the powder category are wide and most often have some form of rocker or early rise plus a relatively soft flex. Many powder skis today are versatile enough to handle mixed conditions and harder snow.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as will as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
  • Turning Radius: Short
< 16 m radius is best for carving.
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Full Twin Tip
    Full Twin Tip
Desinged to allow you to ski backwards, full twin tips are found primarily on park & pipe skis and freestyle powder skis. More and more, we are seeing twin tips on all-mountain skis of all abilities, as it makes it a little easier to get around, and for the most part does not inhibit forward skiing.
