Salomon s entry into the ultra-competitive 100mm waist class comes through with all the goodies but lets you save your energy for the long haul. The Salomon Q-98 Skis have the width and Utility Rocker profile to handle all but the deepest days with aplomb, and do it all so smoothly and effortlessly you'll find yourself still feeling fresh late into the afternoon. Light enough and versatile to a fault, the Q-98 is also one of very few skis in this category you would be happy with as a dual-duty lift-served and touring ski.
Utility Rocker Long and gradual rocker in the tip, camber underfoot, and a very slight amount of rocker at the tail.
Carve Zone The traditionally cambered section of twin rocker skis, where the sidecut is focused for more power, energy and edge grip.
Hook Free Taper 5-Point sidecut shape with taper at the tip and tail for easier turning in deep and variable snow
Full Woodcore A full wood core from tip to tail creates a strong, stable, and responsive ski by maximizing ski to snow contact and filtering vibrations out.
Honeycomb Tip Lightens the ski at the tip for improved swing weight.
Semi Sandwich Sidewall A combination of ABS sidewall in the middle of the ski and monocoque in the tip and tail; strong edge grip underfoot and increased maneuverability.
Wide Edges For durability and shock resistance.
Skin Camlock Compatible
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
