Salomon Enduro XT 850 Skis 2013

You want it all, you got it all. With the high-performance Salomon Enduro XT 850 Skis you can confidently conquer the entire mountain. All-Terrain Rocker gives you fluid terrain absorption, quality performance on groomers, easy and progressive turning, and the precision you can muster. The full wood core offers optimum stability on snow and powerful rebound while maximizing the ski to snow contact and filtering vibration. A light, strong bamboo layer provides liveliness edge to edge. Pretty soon, the Enduro XT 850 Skis will also cook lunch, pack the car, and drive so you don’t have to do any work.
Rocker Type
All Terrain Rocker - Single rocker shape in the tip area, medium length and low height, that enables maximum terrain absorption and easy, progressive turn initiation without sacrificing stability.
Shape
Square Tail - New tail design for the Exploring skis category, enables powerful turn completion on groomers and security on very steep terrain.
Core
Full Woodcore - Wood from tip to tail improves stability and rebound, maximizes ski to snow contact and filters vibrations.
POWERLINE All-Mountain - Active Dampening System dedicated to wide skis. 2 arms running along the ski side of the ski absorbs terrain changes, improving stability in all snow conditions.
Laminates
Bamboo Layer - Light, strong bamboo layer provides liveliness edge to edge.
Double Ti Laminate 400 - Double layer of Titanium (0.4 mm) improves on-piste performance. More precision, enormous edge grip and improved responsiveness.
Sidewalls
Sandwich Sidewalls - Sandwich sidewalls for extraordinary smooth ski/snow contact and great terrain adaptation: Laminated sandwich sidewall construction enables Salomon to combine appropriate material layers for targeted performance.
Edges
Total Edge Reinforcement - A fiber reinforcement directly on the edges that provides edge stiffness for improved durability and grip.
Additional Features
Extended Transfer Plateform - A wide integrated Aluminum plate embedded in rubber, for direct feedback from the terrain and better power transmission.
Oversized PULSEPAD - Anti vibration layer molded into the ski all along the front part of the ski to filter vibrations for better absorption and smooth ski/snow contact.
XL Chassis - Wide ski body chassis for skiers who ski 50% on piste / 50% ungroomed: Main benefits are carving ability, stability and confidence at higher speeds, and floatation in deep powder.
Binding Compatibility
Bindings not included
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber
    Rocker/Camber
Rocker/Camber skis pair a traditional cambered profile underfoot with an elongated, early rise tip borrowed from fully rockered skis. This profile places the front contact point further back from the tip, while the rear contact point remains close to the tail. The rockered tip allows for better flotation and less edge catch for increased float in deep snow, while the cambered rear stores and transmits energy similarly to a fully cambered ski.
  • Turning Radius: Medium
    Medium
17-22 m radius is best for all-mountain and park & pipe.
  • Core/Laminates: Bamboo, Wood
  • Tail Type: Flat
    Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
