Salomon BBR 10.0 Skis 2013: Salomon is shaping the future with the Salomon BBR 10.0 Skis. With the revolutionary V-Shape, the classic X shape concept has been thrown out. The V-shape gives it a more progressive sidecut enabling an easier turn, more rhythm and easy exit from turns. Characterized by a surfboard shape, the overall result is a versatile performance ski that needs no experience to make your own.

Product Details

Shape

The V-Shape is characterized by a surfboard shaped tip, a narrow waist and pintail, resulting in versatile performance. The optimized tip and tail ensure great flotation in powder, and amazing on-piste carving while reducing weight. The Patented V-Shape has a tip that is wider than the tail by at least 32mm

Construction

Sandwich Sidewalls make for extraordinarily smooth ski to snow contact and great terrain adaptation

Bamboo Layer is light and strong

Metal Back-Bone gives you more strength and rigidity underfoot for charging, but keeping extremities flexible

Double Ti Laminate features a double layer of titanium that improves on-piste performance, offers more precision, enormous edge grip and responsiveness.

Additional Features

Total Edge Reinforcement stiffens up the edges for improved durability and grip

Oversized Pulsepad’s absorb shock and anti-vibration for smoother and softer ski to snow contact

A wide tip

Comments about Salomon BBR 10.0 Skis 2013:

I had a lot of fun making fast turns on the groomers and it's safe to say the ski was designed for that. However the ski felt a bit sloppy riding with such a narrow tail especially in powder. It helped having such a wide tip to get above the fresh snow but I think I didn't have the control I was looking for. I definitely would have another ski for deep days.

Comments about Salomon BBR 10.0 Skis 2013:

This is definitely a different ski. It took me a couple of runs to get used to them, but powder came and they sparkled. Turns were snappy in the trees and coming out into the moguls they dived straight down the fall line, edges carving through tight icy turns. Busting through pockets of deep became a thrill to be sought out. I'm waiting for the deep discounts to get another.

Comments about Salomon BBR 10.0 Skis 2013:

I don't get to ski as often as I would like, and when I do, I need one pair of skis that will do it all. I have found that one pair in the BBRs. They carve nicely, and the turn-to-turn transition is unbelievebly smooth. They float very nicely in powder as well. They make my one-ski quiver seem at least twice as full.
