Product Details

Rocker Type

Powder Turn RockerNewly redesigned to deliver even more versatility and superior floatation. A longer, more progressively rockered tip eliminates "tip flap" in variable snow and hardpack while the tapered, more powerful tail drops into soft snow, enhancing floatation and providing effortless steering with instant speed control. Traditional camber underfoot delivers power, energy and edge grip for groomed snow performance.

Centered SidecutShort sidecut directly underfoot for easy steering and maneuverability that directs edge grip and power underfoot

Poplar Wood CoreNaturally lightweight and snappy core; sustainably harvested

Cap ConstructionThe ROSSITOP cap strengthens the ski, is resistant to chipping for increased durability and facilitates rebound

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Comments about Rossignol Smash 7 Skis 2016:

Bought the 170 cm for my 19 year old nephew 5'10" 135 lb. Advanced intermediate skier who likes expert terrain. I was a bit worried that this ski would not be enough because the reviews vary between beginner to intermediate with one advanced intermediate. In the end I decided to go with it because I have the same ski for my 11 year old son in a 140 cm, about 4'10" 75 lb. Rossi told us that is the ski they recommend for expert children. My son loves it and he skis double blacks at a serious mountain, race kid, skiing 50+ days a season. Watching my nephew ski it, it was a great choice for him too. I think the more you weigh, the closer to a beginner ski. I think the majority of the reviews I read must have been for a fully grown adult. Skinny kid = expert ski, not filled out (on the scrawny side) teen = advanced intermediate ski.
