Rossignol Scratch Sprayer BC Ski is for those who ride everything at the ski area except the parking lot. Twintip of the Scratch Sprayer BC Ski has a fat waist for floating powder, cutting chop and stomping big landings. Scratch Sprayer BC is just as suited to a day riding the park as it is to hiking for backcountry kickers, turns over quickly on groomed runs and holds a solid edge on icy slopes. If you seek out powder after a storm, ride the park most days and like to carve big turns on groomers between it all, then Rossignol's Scratch Sprayer BC Ski is for you.

  • 30-degree Sloping Sidewall:Big glide surface and low swing weight, less weight, faster edging
  • Rebounding Tips:Elastomers in front and rear tips. Mix between absorption and reaction, reaction for take-offs and tricks and absorption for happy landing
  • Rocking Chair Effect:Improves and simplifies balancing. High grip on hardpack. High float on powder
  • THC2:A hybrid core made from 3 materials such as Poplar: for pep and lightness, Fume (wood): for response and snow feel, Micro cell: for shock absorption
  • Two Boot Center Mounting Points:Modern for pure freestylers, standard for classic alpine skiers

Comments about Rossignol Scratch Sprayer BC Skis 2007:

This review is for the 2006 model, the Scratch BC.

After holding out for many years I was inspired to get some fat skis last season. We got some good powder days in Washington, and while purists might scoff at Cascade concrete it still made for some awesome days off the beaten track. The Scratch BC skis never let me down last season, eating up powder, crud, and even groomed runs without breaking a sweat. While they don't have the end of turn power of my Rossignol 9X pseudo-GS skis, I wouldn't say they're lacking, either.

Would I buy them again? Most definitely yes. What's keeping them from 5 stars? Well, they don't carry themselves from the parking lot, and I guess ice isn't their forte, or mine for that matter.

Comments about Rossignol Scratch Sprayer BC Skis 2007:

Great pair of skis. Bought these almost 2 years ago and haven't looked back. I ski in Colorado and they more than hold their own in powder. Flotation is great with speed, I've skied waist-deep in this and saw the tips the whole time. Hard snow can get a little rough if it is bumpy; the light weight and good flexibility of these skis will definitely make you feel the snow if you're going fast. I feel like the swing weight could be a bit better but they hold a remarkably good edge even on average east-coast hardpack, and the turnover is nice and quick.

Great ski, great value, as long as you keep it to the park, powder, and groomers. The description above doesn't lie, but if it's super icy out I'd leave these at home and get something stiffer.

Comments about Rossignol Scratch Sprayer BC Skis 2007:

I'm 19 years old and have been skiing since I was 8. As you can imagine, my generation is all about skiing everything, so I spent weeks trying to find something that a college kid could afford, but at the same time put to use anywhere and everywhere. I test-skied the Public Enemy and really like it, but to tell you honestly the Scratch puts that ski to shame. I mean the Scratch is WAY better on the groomed stuff and holds an edge really well on icy stuff, but at the same when I'm skiing in the powder, I feel like I have plenty underfoot. The ski snaps over on hard turns almost as good as a carving ski. Riding switch feels really natural when mounted at modern, although it would probably feel even better mounted at center. Overall I'm really, really happy with this ski. Although it does have a softer top sheet than some, it's way better than a lot of other twin tips I've seen. So if you're looking for a great all around the mountain sort of ski at an affortable price, look no farther.

Comments about Rossignol Scratch Sprayer BC Skis 2007:

My ski has the black graphic, which may be the 2006 model. Surprisingly versitile, holds very well on ice, very quick turning and responsive, and handled a foot of powder with ease. Skis hard snow well enough to be an east coast all mountain ski, and handle powder days as well. A lot of fun to ski.

Comments about Rossignol Scratch Sprayer BC Skis 2007:

great ski. I used it out east a couple of times to start the season and they floated well over a little powder, gripped well on ice, and were nice and quick through the trees. I was very impressed: a great all-mountain ski with twins that treat you well in the park. I recommend the ski to anyone who likes to be all over the mountain.
