Rossignol Scimitar Jr Skis + Axium Jr 70 Bindings - Youth 2012

The Rossginol Scimitar Jr Skis are perfect for novice to intermediate boys who enjoy jumping everything in sight and weaving in and out of the woods. The Scimitar Jr has progressive flexes to best match kids' height and weight by size. This ski helps develop the basics to ensure a solid base for the future rippers.
Shape
Traditional camber shape gives the Scimitar Jr plenty of spring and rebound.
Construction
Rossitop Cap construction is durable and rebounding with fiberglass laminates to provide power, flex, and stability.
Dimensions
11 m @ 130 cm
Bindings
Axium Jr 70 Bindings are lightweight bindings that feature high end Dual Action toe pieces which release 180 degrees. The heel provides an easy step-in design and the long lever arms make exiting the binding an effortless motion.
Included Bindings
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.
Core and Flex Pattern
Forgiving Microcell core won’t punish a developing skier for small mistakes, yet it’s responsive enough to encourage skill progression. Fiberglass laminates provide power, flex and stability.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Turning Radius: 11 m @ 130 cm
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for skis offering skiers lots of edge hold, especially on harder snow. A cambered ski has a smooth arch underfoot and contact points near the tip and tail when unweighted. Camber skis excel at carving on hard snow; you won’t ever see a ski racer on anything other than cambered skis.
  • Tail Type: Flat
    Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.

Only use this product 7 days a year, but was less expensive than renting skis each year for 3 years. Bought them a little big, so they could be used 2-3 years.
