Comments about Rossignol SAS S3 (Andrew Pommier) Skis 2009:

I took these skis out for 2 days on demo. First of all, I'm very very impressed.
On the first day the conditions were a combination of icy and slush in the lower sections. On piste the skis handled surprisingly well: they had reasonable carve for so fat a ski, and also were bouncy enough to be a lot of fun in the short radius turns. That said the edge change is a bit sluggish, but then these aren't really piste skis so what can you expect?? They are hard work, I would say only for advance skiers prepared to put plenty of energy into their skiing.
In the park these sticks really come into their own. Heeps of pop, and really smooth landings, aided by good flex in tips and tails. The bindings were mounted at the +3cm point, took a bit of getting used after my carving skis, but definately helps smooth out the landings and makes riding switch a joy. I've only recently started to rotate, but found landing these switch pretty easy.
On day 2 we got powder!! The visibility wasnt good so we headed for the trees. This is where the skis really impressed me. Good float, plenty of flex and bounce and just a lot of fun. I nailed the bases, but then i hit about 50 rocks and only put in 4 core shots so they did quite well. I moved the bindings abck ti centre mount which i would recommend for freeride.
In general, a really really fun ski which i enjoyed a lot!! I'm hopefully gonna buy these babies, if I can get a good deal.
    Enjoy!!

It's good in everything. But if you plan on skiing powder all day, i would have them mounted in back. skied an icy day at kirkwood with a center mount and i never lost an edge.

Comments about Rossignol SAS S3 (Andrew Pommier) Skis 2009:

I skied these out on Mt. Baker this year, they worked great for everything and when i took them over to Crystal mountain on a huge powder day, they floated well and helped on the tree runs with good flex and pop coming out of turns. They're not the fattest ski but they will carve on anything. I will get them to the backcountry this year and think they'll hold up great.

Comments about Rossignol SAS S3 (Andrew Pommier) Skis 2009:

Great ski but the edge blew out after less than 40 days. I rode them pretty hard in the park, pipe, trees, and pow, but every other rossi I've had lasted longer. If you can pick em up for cheap they're a great ski, but don't bank on more than a season if you're going to charge em.

REally fun ski, holds an edge, pops nice, and lightweight. Pretty much what all the videos say they're supposed to do. If you like what you see in the video reviews, get this ski. Great price to.

I bought these skis last year and they have been amazing. These skis can do pretty much everything, they float great in the powder, have nice pop in the park, they're lightweight, etc. I would definitely recommend these skis.
