Rossignol S80 W Skis + Saphir 110 Bindings - Women's 2011: This all-mountain women's freeride ski is designed for any snow condition and terrain. Built with sandwich construction, wood core, titanium laminate, and an 80mm waist, this ski is the perfect platform on which to excel in powder and crud, yet also offers amazing grip on the hardpack. It features Rossignol's unique camber profile, "AmpTek". AmpTek Freeride, combines traditional camber underfoot delivering power, energy and edge grip with an early rise tip and tail that dramatically improves the turn initiation and flotation in any condition. If you are looking for one ski to take you anywhere on the mountain, then the Rossignol S80 W Skis are your ultimate all-mountain tool. Built using Rossignol's Feminine Intuitive Technology for lighter, more maneuverable skis.
Shape
Amptek: Amptek for Amplification Technology. This technology developed by Rossignol for Freeride skis lets you ski on powder without constraint. Skis with the Amptek profile are livelier, have improved float power on powder and allow you to experience new sensations. How does it work? It's quite simple: the ski has a rocker at both front and back which gives more lift and improved turn capability on powder. The ski has traditional construction underfoot, with a camber and 18m turn radius for easier edge-to-edge transition on hard snow, so providing a lot more versatility.

    Comments about Rossignol S80 W Skis + Saphir 110 Bindings - Women's 2011:

    Um… Wow!

Before now, I've always been a devoted renter of ski and snowboard products.

Since I knew nothing about a 'good' set of skis, I would always stick to what the guys at the local ski shop told me was 'good'… Not anymore!

I bought myself these bad boys as a gift.

I hadn't really been up to ski in a few years, but didn't think my skills had gotten THAT bad. And, I was right :). The second I clicked my boots into these beauties, it was "Hello, muscle memory!" Coming down the mountain was an experience I'll never forget, either. Carving was so smooth, and getting up to a good speed was so simple. I felt so comfortable and at-home in my new skis. I love them!

I might as well buy a house right at the top of a mountain :)!

      Comments about Rossignol S80 W Skis + Saphir 110 Bindings - Women's 2011:

Super cute skis that feel great when carving on packed or groomed surfaces.

In powder though you really fight against the camber and feel a little like you're shoveling snow.

If I had a different set of skis for powder days, I'd probably give these five stars, because they are great for what they are.

But as my first and only personal pair of skis, I wish I had gone with a slightly flatter ski (less camber).

        Comments about Rossignol S80 W Skis + Saphir 110 Bindings - Women's 2011:

I have only used these skis once on Mt.Baker but they were awesome (and there are many great days ahead of skiing). I tend to stick to groomed trails, but I'll go steep and take on any bumps that happen to be around. These skis turned so easily, gripped ice patches, and didn't chatter when I happened to go really fast. I loved them.

I truely feel like s small winter bird darting between the trees moving with the precision of a Bee.
especially for a mature mom skier. I can keep up with the kids! Easy to get in and out of bindings for a quick break too.
