Rossignol S3 Koopman Skis 2010: The 2010 Rossignol S3 Koopman Skis are two skis in one. When skiing powder, the directional sidecut is the dominant feature – perfect for slashing and buttering turns. On piste, the sidecut handles like a true twin in the park and landing switch. The S3 gives a whole new meaning to the one-ski-quiver. The S3 also makes a great backcountry alpine touring or tele ski. It is the perfect powder tool for backcountry skiers who love skiing the deep.

Comments about Rossignol S3 Koopman Skis 2010:

I love this ski! I shred park just as much as the rest of the mountain and this thing is so sick in both. Tons of pop out of the tail, skis super good switch, stable on rails and light as hell. Ripping pow is so easy. You can smear and butter your turns like a full on pro. I was throwing huge spray like a surfer hitting the lip; buckets of gnar!

Comments about Rossignol S3 Koopman Skis 2010:

I got a pair of the new rocker'd S3 ski at the end of last season and mounted them up with Dynafit bindings for touring. The 1st day I took them for a tour was on 4/4/2009… the deepest day of the year, over 30 inches of powder! The S3 broke trail unbelievably well. It was effortless skinning up through the new snow… I was amazed. The ski feel light and the rocker'd tip planed out of the snow easily. The best part was the ride down… WOW!!! It was the 1st time I skied a rocker'd ski in the backcountry. I was cheating. The float and glide was incredible, no thigh burn. I was making fun of my skiing buddies when they started to get tried, and I was still fresh and ready to go. I do not think I would ever ski on anything else after skiing the new rocker'd S3.

Comments about Rossignol S3 Koopman Skis 2010:

I demoed the s3, after that I had to have a pair. These are incredible for a "do most" ski. My only gripe is that they're a little wide, and tails to high for moguls. In moguls with a tight stance, my tails would catch constantly. Otherwise, they do everything else.

But for those of you who don't ski moguls, these are a true one-ski quiver. They float on powder, they're awesome in crud, and they grip hard pack. They turn on a dime in trees. With the tip and tail rocker, you could slash and butter in soft snow...so much you just get giggly! They're SO much fun. And the camber underneath has great grip to get you back to the lift. They take small cliffs and jumps nicely, and really cushion the impact. It's amazing.
If they were a TAD skinnier, they'd be a true all mt ski (including moguls). That's my ONLY gripe about these, otherwise they're incredibly fun to ski.

Although they're a little heavier on the scale, they ski VERY light and have a very smooth flex. No complaints whatsoever.

Great for flooting in 2 feet of pow! i used the s3 at stevens when they had there last huge snow storm. it flooted great. i had no problems with the ski. It dose the best for what i do. The tips dont sink down when you are droping a big cliff. the rocker makes all of the differnce in the ski.

Comments about Rossignol S3 Koopman Skis 2010:

I just bought these skis a month ago and I love them. The rocker in the tip makes choppy snow so easy to plow through and you float really well in powder. The rocker tail makes skiing switch as easy as ridding regular.
Camber underfoot makes it feel like a true park ski when hitting jibs.
Super moveable and easy to navigate in the trees.
Over all an awesome all mountain ski with a perfect underfoot that makes ridding anything fun and comfortable!

Comments about Rossignol S3 Koopman Skis 2010:

You can probably attack the mountain as well as Michael Knight can bring down a criminal. But even Knight had KITT to get him out of a pinch. The S3 knows how to adapt to the mountain beneath it. You can take her anywhere and she'll stay calm and collected. A great ski.
