Rossignol Avenger 82 Ti Skis + Axial² 120 Bindings 2012

Rossignol Avenger 82 Ti Skis + Axial² 120 Bindings 2012: The Rossignol Avenger 82 Ti Skis are aggressive and versatile all-mountain/on-trail skis. PowerTurn 100% traditional camber profile provides maximized power, energy and performance while carving strong turns. The classic sandwich construction with vertical sidewalls has two layers of titanium for added stability, improved snow contact, and a solid damp feel. With an all-mountain tip and wider waist, the Avenger 82’s rail on hardpack while still displaying all-mountain versatility to blast through any snow condition. The Avenger 82 Ti is the ultimate all-mountain carver with rock solid stability and edging power for hard charging technical skiers.
Shape
Power Turn Camber has a classic high camber underfoot that delivers power and edge grip for groomed run performance while storing energy and providing explosive snap and boost.
Oversized Sidecut give strong edging, power and precision and wider waist dimensions increase stability and turn initiation ease.
Construction
Traditional sandwich construction with vertical sidewalls creates direct edging pressure while the core and fiberglass laminates provide power, flex, and stability.
An all-mountain tip extends the ski’s sidecut beyond snow contact point, giving float in soft snow and increased sidecut on edge that creates strong turn initiation.
Bindings
The Rossignol TPX/lAxial² 120 Bindings have strong power transmission due to angled lateral arms. High forward pressure improves ski rebound and responsiveness and a wide mounting zone provides better contact with wide skis. 25mm of elastic travel, the longest travel of any binding on the market, reduces unwanted pre-releasing.
Included Bindings
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.
Core and Flex Pattern
A wood core made from laminations of Ash and Poplar make the Avenger 82’s lively, responsive, and durable. Two layers of Titanal around the core add longitudinal and torsional rigidity.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Carving
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
    Carving
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for skis offering skiers lots of edge hold, especially on harder snow. A cambered ski has a smooth arch underfoot and contact points near the tip and tail when unweighted. Camber skis excel at carving on hard snow; you won’t ever see a ski racer on anything other than cambered skis.
  • Core/Laminates: Wood
  • Tail Type: Flat
    Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
