Rossignol Attraxion Limited Skis + WTPI²/Saphir 90 Bindings - Women's 2012

Rossignol Attraxion Limited Skis + WTPI²/Saphir 90 Bindings - Women's 2012: Sassy and playful…the Rossignol Attraxion Limited Skis are for beginner to intermediate female skiers who want a stable and easy to maneuver frontside ski. An Oversize Sidecut provides strong edge hold and stability on firm snowpack, yet dances from turn-to-turn. Women's Tip technology provides easy turn initiation while Power Turn camber gives the ski excellent energy and snap. The Attraxion Limited is designed for beginner and intermediate females who want confident cruising on a variety of groomed terrain.
Shape
Power Turn camber is engineered with 100% traditional high camber underfoot. The high camber underfoot delivers power, energy, and edge grip for on-piste performance. The full length camber stores energy and provides explosive snap and boost.
Oversize Sidecut takes the benefits of the aggressive sidecuts of carving skis and combines it with modern waist widths to produce accurate edge feel and unprecedented stability.
Construction
Rossitop Cap construction
Power Ramp is a women's-specific interface engineered to raise the heel to help adapt to women skiers lower center of gravity.
Women’s Tip is lightweight and has a unique shape for easy turn intiation.
Bindings
The Rossignol Saphir 90 Bindings are integrated to the WPTI2 plate that absorbs vibrations and store energy to create explosive rebound out of a turn and into the next.
Core and Flex Pattern
Fiberglass Injected Microcell core is forgiving, but with good rebound.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Carving
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
    Carving
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Beginner-Intermediate
    Beginner-Intermediate
Someone who is new to the sport or working on linking smoother turns falls into this ability level. Typical beginner ski/snowboard qualities include: softer materials, narrower widths, and capped constructions. The idea is to create a ride that is easy to turn and very forgiving in case you become off balance or fall in the back seat. The addition of rocker in the tip and tail gives a catch-free feeling and shorter contact length when the ski/snowboard is flat on the snow, making it easier to turn.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for skis offering skiers lots of edge hold, especially on harder snow. A cambered ski has a smooth arch underfoot and contact points near the tip and tail when unweighted. Camber skis excel at carving on hard snow; you won’t ever see a ski racer on anything other than cambered skis.
  • Core/Laminates: Foam
  • Tail Type: Flat
    Flat
This is your traditional tail, designed to have edge contact all the way through the tail, and only designed for skiing forward. This is also preferred for alpine touring, as you can stick the tails of your skis in the snow.
