The ON3P Caylor Skis have long been one of ON3P's best options for freestyle-oriented pow riders. With a long, gradual and symetrical rocker profile, a medium-stiff flex, and wide waist for float; dropping through pillow lines, bashing crud, and stomping cliff landings has never been so fun. Its bamboo core, combined with top and bottom full-length carbon stringers, ensures the ski maintains the damp but responsive ride found in every ON3P ski. This freestyle powder machine has developed a cult following, and there's a reason to get in line.
Elliptical Rocker Profile The rocker profile and tip shape are combined into one progressively changing elliptical arc, which allows the tips to plane faster in powder, deflect less in variable snow, and helps the effective edge running within the rocker length to engage in a more natural, effortless way.
Bi-Radius Sidecut The sidecut consists of a smaller turn radius in the tip that works in conjunction with a larger turn radius in the tail, creating a ski that is stable going straight, but will easily carve once the turn is initiated and the ski is on edge.
Bamboo Core The heart of every pair of ON3P skis is the vertically laminated, 100% bamboo core. Bamboo provides a responsive, yet damp characteristic to ON3P skis that we have grown to love. The ON3P core shape gives the ski strength where it needs it, better for resisting warping and breakage. Bamboo is also a quick growing, environmentally-friendly grass.
Tri-Axial Fiberglass 19 oz or 22 oz Tri-axial Fiberglass provides torsional stiffness, ensuring edge hold and power transfer.
Extra Wide Binding Mat An additional layer of fiberglass mat provides increased screw retention and prevents pullouts. To ensure proper coverage for all types of hole patterns, ON3P extends this mat to nearly full width on every ski they make.
Unidirectional Carbon Stringer Each ski incorporates unidirectional carbon around the core, adding pop, stiffness, and dampness without any significant increase in weight.
UHMW Sidewalls and Tip Spacers Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene is an incredibly strong material, has a higher abrasion resistance than steel, and resists cracking (unlike ABS).
1.8 mm 4001 Durasurf Sintered Base ON3P Durasurf 4001 base material provides their skies with better glide and protection from damage compared to other sintered and extruded base material, and is 38% thicker than the industry standard.
2.5 mm x 2.5 mm Extra Thick Edges ON3P uses a 3/4 wrap for their 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm Rockwell 48 steel edges. The 3/4 wrap allows the tips and tails of the skis to flex, decreasing the risk of delamination.
VDS (Vibration Dampening Strips) VDS rubber is applied to the edges & sidewalls, acting as a shear layer that provides improved bonding strength and vibration dampening.
Bindings not included
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Comments about ON3P Caylor Skis 2014:
The Caylors are a great choice for a one-ski quiver for Western folks.
Obviously, with the dual tip/tail rocker, the primary purpose is freshies. I found them even more fun when the pow turns to chop: the stiffness allow you to plow, or dig into the edge as you like. The only noodles you'll experience is those for dinner :)
They are stable and fun when it turns to groomers/hard pack as well. Yes, it takes a little speed or pitch to get 120mm waist on edge. Once on edge, they'll hold it throughout so you can look stylin to the lift crowd. Or, it is simple to break out of if some annoying snowboarder veers into your patch. This should rarely happen as they are stable at speed so you should be going faster then the snowboarders anyways ;)
The Caylors are more of a center mount ski so the carving point is more underfoot than the traditional far out on the tips.
