Nordica Hot Rod Igniter CA Skis + N Sport XBi Bindings 2012

Nordica Hot Rod Igniter CA Skis + N Sport XBi Bindings 2012: The Nordica Hot Rod Igniter CA Skis + N Sport XBi Bindings are engineered for advanced all around skiers who want one pair of skis with high performance, stability and reliability in all snow conditions. The energy frame partial sidewall improves the force transmission and the edge grip on the binding area, while the front and rear section stay smooth and permit easy turns.
Shape
The Nordica Camrock profile enhances the swing weight and the maneuverability in powder significantly. This makes the ski ideal for playing and carving around the entire mountain.
All Mountain Sidecut equals a round radius shape for performance in variable conditions.
Construction
Full Twin V Active CA Partial Sidewall
Fully integrated system over the wood core of the ski allows perfect transmission of skier movements from the boots all the way to the edge of the ski - delivering an amazing "glued to the snow" sensation.
X-Balance technology redistributes pressure along the length of the ski automatically correcting for skier fore/aft balance errors.
Central Turntable: new CT feature allows for easy adjustment of the system.
Bindings
N Sport XBi CT Bindings
DIN setting range: 2.5-10
Plate: XB I CT
Included Bindings
Bindings do not come mounted to the skis. Always have a certified technician mount and adjust the bindings.
Core and Flex Pattern
Composite/Wood core
Integrated design and X-Balance engineering provide a perfectly round flex curve that allows the ski to perform with –tip-to-tail edge hold, putting the whole ski in the users control.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Carving
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
    Carving
For those that like the classic feeling of laying a ski over on edge and arcing a perfect turn, carving skis are what you want. These skis have narrower waists and shorter turn radii for edge to edge quickness and responsive turn initiation and exit on groomed runs and hard pack. The beginner-intermediate skis in this category are designed to make learning how to turn as easy as going from pizza to French fries.
  • Ability Level: Intermediate-Advanced
    Intermediate-Advanced
The majority of skiers/snowboarders fall into this level, whether you like to carve on groomers or venture into the powder. These skis/snowboards may be somewhat wider than beginner-intermediate skis, usually with a stronger wood core and sandwich sidewall construction. Depending on the type of ski, intermediate-advanced level skis may have full camber, rocker, or some combination of the two.
  • Rocker Type: Camber
    Camber
Camber is the traditional profile for skis offering skiers lots of edge hold, especially on harder snow. A cambered ski has a smooth arch underfoot and contact points near the tip and tail when unweighted. Camber skis excel at carving on hard snow; you won’t ever see a ski racer on anything other than cambered skis.
  • Core/Laminates: Composite, Wood
  • Tail Type: Partial Twin Tip
    Partial Twin Tip
Partial twin tip skis have a tail that is turned up, but not as much as the tip. This gives you the ability to ski backwards and back out of tight spaces, but these skis are mainly designed to ski forward.
