Nordica Ace of Spades TI Skis 2012: Park and Pipe skiers need skis that support their aggressive style of skiing and all the performance demands that come with it. The Nordica Ace of Spades TI Skis are designed to provide park and pipe specific stability, durability and performance. They are lightweight for maximum air control and built with sandwich construction for precision, durability and ability to generate speed. The Ace of Spades is built for athletes like Peter Olenick and you to charge the 22 foot pipes across the globe.
Shape
Twin Pop camROCK (195mm tip, 195mm tail) is designed to deliver stability at high speeds in the pipe and deliver incredible pop for max elevation off features in and out of the park with 3mm of camber.
Designed with a center mount position and a pure symmetrical sidecut shape for a harmonic swing weight
Construction
Energy TI construction consists of a full wood core and Extra Double Titanal sandwich construction for precision, durability and ability to generate speed.
UHMW sintered graphite Electra Gallium race base
Flex
Wood core and Titanium combine for an extremely powerful, snappy and fast park ski.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

    Park & Pipe
    Park and pipe skis, often called freestyle skis, are for skiers who spend the majority of their time on jumps, rails, and jibs of all kinds. Traditionally park and pipe skis have narrower waists with full camber profiles, but this category is incorporating more rocker patterns and different shapes. You will almost always find these skis with twin tips as well as other park specific features like thicker, more durable edges, dense extruded bases, and butter zones.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
    Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as will as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.

    Desinged to allow you to ski backwards, full twin tips are found primarily on park & pipe skis and freestyle powder skis. More and more, we are seeing twin tips on all-mountain skis of all abilities, as it makes it a little easier to get around, and for the most part does not inhibit forward skiing.

        I use these for park and all mountain. I took these to Alpental BC when it snowed 13 in of fresh and they floated better then any all mountain I have ever rode. I highly recommend a center mount on these. They also have a great nose and tail butter which make them very playful.

        I demoed this in the French Alps at a resort called, Les Gets. I originally got this for the park but then even took it to the side country. It is super light-weight, no swing weight, and very easy to learn tricks on. But as for the powder,... its not excellent but it's still fun. If I got this ski I would use it for the park and rails.
