Product Info

Moment PB & J Skis 2013: Featured, photographed and hailed as Editor’s Choice pieces in numerous publications, the Moment PB & J Skis have struck a chord within the industry. The PB & J comes with a 101mm waist for floatation in powder, but still agile enough to kill the park. Moment’s Mustache Rocker allows the ski to be versatile, playful, and makes it the most popular kid on the mountain. The term “one-ski-quiver” is pretty cliché, but we can’t think of a better way to describe the ski.

Product Details

Shape

Mustache Rocker profile does it all and does it all well. Positive camber underfoot provides power and edge hold on hard snow, while tip and tail rocker crush variable conditions and give you the loose, playful feel you want in powder.

Construction

Flex rating of 8 out of 10 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)

Moment uses Aspen/Pine wood core on skis that need to be able to withstand a beating. Ash provides amazing binding retention, strength and dampening; Pine adds durability and reduces weight to the core.

Fiberglass Matrix fine-tunes the flex profile of the ski.

Carbon Fiber stringers provide more pop and snap and are extremely strong and lightweight.

Dimensions

16m @ 162cm, 18m @ 172cm, 21m @ 182cm, 23m @ 188cm, 129/101/121 (all sizes)

Additional Features

UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) Sidewalls are extremely light, durable, and resistant to separation.

2.2mm Rockwell 48 Steel Edge for more strength and durability

1.2mm Durasurf 4001 Sintered base can take a beating while staying fast. They are US-made, harder and have better wax absorption than extruded bases. Moment uses sublimated graphics to eliminate the cracking and peeling common on die-cut bases.

VDS Dampening System is placed over the edges and in several other key locations to mellow any harsh vibrations.

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

Comments about Moment PB & J Skis 2013:

MOMENT may be the young upstart from Reno but they are wise beyond their years when it comes to design, ready to challenge the long-standing mainstays in the ski world. Unique square cut tips and tail turn some traditionalists away but the fact is they provide a more consistent edge hold through turns and, in powder, this feature is only magnified. The PEANUT BUTTER: Killer control, stiff in the tip and tail thanks to the MUSTACHE rocker/camber. Chattering? Forget about it. Easily turned and directed in deep pow but surprisingly stable and quick on hard pack. The JAM: Under the ski the SMOOTH 4001 DuraSurf sintered base slips down the hill like a ninja on the prowl. Be careful, Moment's PB&J may transport you to pure bliss, like that very first time you took a a tender bit out of that very first sandwich.

Comments about Moment PB & J Skis 2013:

This is my first season on the Moment PB&J's and I'm head over heels in love with them. I wanted to buy a solid and dependable one ski quiver and so far they have been great. They rip on the corduroy, they take choppy conditions like a champ and they are like heaven in powder. The mustache rocker and camber underfoot make it a super fun ski and I promise you will not be disappointed.

Comments about Moment PB & J Skis 2013:

Side Country and Soft Groomers , Even hit the park!

They are built So dam well!

The Tip and tail rocker will take a bit getting use to at first, For myself I was use to a classic camber under foot and took me 3 soild Runs then I was able to master them with Ease! What a great All Mtn Pow Ski, The fact they are stiffer on the Tip/tails makes them have hardly any chatter and can Crave like a knife that Spreads peanut Butter on groomers!
