Moment Eldorado Skis 2011: The Moment Eldorado Ski has a heart of gold. This treasure was born for the park, but when the Reno Jib and Rocker took over it turned from jibber to all-mountain ripper. Narrower and more cambered than any other ski in Moment’s line, it’s often underestimated until experienced firsthand. Moment’s aspen/pine core makes the difference, boosting you out of every turn and setting up the next with the confidence only handmade construction can provide. Skinny as it might seem to anyone under drinking age, the Moment Eldorado kills it everywhere. Tales are told of a forgotten time long, long ago when 85mm underfoot would have been labeled a powder hound…
Shape
Traditional camber profile give you camber underfoot maintains edge pressure when flexed into an arc and provides strength and rebound
Construction
UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) sidewalls are extremely light, durable and resistant to separation
4001 DuraSurf sintered base can take a beating while staying fast. They are harder and have better wax absorption than extruded bases. Moment uses sublimated graphics to eliminate the cracking and peeling common on die-cut bases
carbon fiber stringers provide more pop and snap and are extremely strong and lightweight
VDS dampening system
Triaxial fiberglass, woven in a 0°/45°/-45° fashion, provides maximum strength and resistance against twisting

Comments about Moment Eldorado Skis 2011:

If this ski is the same as the Freebird then this ski is great. Hit the park or ski the hole mountain on those less then powdery days. Tough bases and thick edges.

    Best Uses

    • Downhill
    • Groomed Terrain
    • Powder Skiing

Comments about Moment Eldorado Skis 2011:

Best uses are groomed terrain and powder. The skis I purchased were a bit on the long side so they are very smooth and steady, only issue is in areas where sharp turning is required. That said, I haven't been able to use them often this winter as snow conditions have been horrendous in the southwest USA. Hopefully as I get more time on them this initial drawback will have been a misjudment on my part. Overall, very solid ski and I got a ton of compliments on the creative artwork and the twintips.
