Comments about Line Skis Mr Pollard's Opus Skis 2014:

Third year on this ski and not once have I been disappointed. For anyone looking for an all-mountain, freestyle, powder oriented ski in the 115-120cm range; this is it. Line's maple macroblock core paired with tri-axial fiberglass allows the ski to remain light and surprisingly damp in some of the chunkiest of conditions. The dynamics of this ski are truly found in blend of camber and rocker along with the blend of 5 different sidecuts. This mix allows you to stay straight at speed without sacrificing quick turn performance that Line has been come to be known for. For reference I'm a 5'9", 150lb powder seeker who spends his time on the mountain searching out secret stashes. I ski the 185cm length.

Comments about Line Skis Mr Pollard's Opus Skis 2014:

From groomers to powder, this is your perfect west coast ski. If you're considering the Opus as your one ski quiver, ask yourself, is the loss of performance on the hardback and chop worth the convenience of always being preparing for powder. As a west coaster, the answer is undoubtedly yes. Oh, and this is also the most fun ski I've ever ridden.

Comments about Line Skis Mr Pollard's Opus Skis 2014:

These babies are fun at Hood but their true potential is realized in Colorado. They want powder but can ski the entire mountain. So you're sitting there reading this wondering if the Opus could be your one ski quiver. Here's my conclusion; I'll sacrifice some performance on groomers and hardpack for the convenience of always being prepared for powder.

Also, I rode the bacons a few times but opted for the Opuses. More stable and more fun.

Comments about Line Skis Mr Pollard's Opus Skis 2014:

      Where do I even begin.
When I first bought these boards they were going to be my powder skis. I mean only take them out when it's deep powder skis.
That flew out the window quick. I have never had as much fun on a pair of skis before. In the deep they're an absolute dream. They float effortlessly and allow you to surf and smear and do all the things you dream about at night. Landing switch in powder is finally do able for me. Not only is it possible but I actually feel confident landing backwards in powder. I didn't even know that was possible.
On top of all the fresh snow benefits the Opus has to offer, I've had a total blast on them even on hard pack. Here in Steamboat we've had two weeks of no snow and I have been on the Opus's every single day of those two weeks and had so much fun. The edge hold on these is truly mind blowing. I can butter and smear at the peak and then pretend I'm a racer on the way down. I can carry more speed on these than my friends can on their traditional camber stiff skis.
Don't ask me how,, just buy a pair and thank EP for everything he's done in the name of ski progression over his career.

Comments about Line Skis Mr Pollard's Opus Skis 2014:

This was my first set of powder skis and I am very happy I chose Line. The only problem I foresee with them is durability. There is no protection on the ends which makes setting them down on anything other than snow unwise and leaves you open to bumping in lift lines. I see a few chips that might turn in to something more but I hope not!

For skiing, they will provide you with an amazing ability to float above it all. I am a thick person (5' 8" and 200 lbs), yet the 178 cm allow me to float over everything (provided you aren't driving the outside ski into the ground on turns). I have also found an ability to do larger moguls with little issue. The skis still grip great when setting an edge on skied out areas.

Finally, they look great. Lies are being told if someone says they don't care about how the ski looks. I have gotten many compliments on both the brand and model. Through 4 days in Vail I only say 2 other pairs of Line, let alone this model but I got compliments from many others on both the make and model.

Comments about Line Skis Mr Pollard's Opus Skis 2014:

This is just a fun ski that is forgiving. I love it! I mounted the Look Pivot 14 on them. Great set up.
Ok, From an Advanced NOT an expet skier here is the review. This is a moderate Powder ski that I can see Advanced skiers using all over the mountain. ?You can slarve, carve, and have confidence doing it all. The Opus is forgiving and When I say that, NOT being an expert I can be thrown in the back seat and can rebound more easily than my Moment Belafonte's. Which demand great technique, Period. I see this ski as a relatively light ski with a flex around (Subjective) a 6-10. My Belafonte's I would say are a 9.5 out of -10.
Anything besides Hockey rink ice you can ski and have fun. BC is really where it shines though. In the POW. But this ski is not designed to be a East coast carver. I use this ski at Durango, Taos, Wolfcreek, Telluride and am going to give it a whirl at Silverton in the coming weeks. This is a ski for the masses that want a fun all mountain in Right conditions or POW ski. I would defiantly give it a shot.
Like I said I have the looks on them, and my boots are Rossi Alltrack 130's. Fun Fun Set up.

Comments about Line Skis Mr Pollard's Opus Skis 2014:

These skis were a gift from my wonderful wife. I got to first ski them December 2014 in 2 feet of powder at Kirkwood,CA, and for the following three days. These skis turn unbelievably well in deep powder, chopped powder and even soft bumps. Unlike my pontoons, these can be skied in all conditions. Pontoons, while unparalleled for floatation, are really hard to turn on groomers or in bumps. But the Opus skis it all!!!

The fat tail let's you power fast turns, but also slash from side to side in pow effortlessly. They are stiff like my Volkl Gotamas and can rail through chopped snow on piste with confidence. But the Opuses (Opi??) turn much more easily than Gotamas in tight bumps.

I absolutely love Mr Pollards Opus.

I purchased these skis for a trip to NZ and I couldn't have been more pleased! They are so playful and are extremely forgiving on drops and deep curves in the thick pow. My only issue is that they do tend to be a little more on the heavier side. However you have to expect that from a powder ski. Bottom line is, if you're looking for a fun playful ski that loves to be adventerous then this is the ski for you!

Comments about Line Skis Mr Pollard's Opus Skis 2014:

I first had the opportunity to ski the Opus last season and had an absolute blast in super heavy, incredibly sticky snow and knew right then and there that was the ski for me! This ski continues to amaze me with it's versatility! In deep snow the ski provides awesome flotation and is very nimble. The ski is super fun on groomers as well providing a stable platform to rip some big turns at high speeds. Finally, I love how easy it is to get the tail to release and make some big slashy turns. Slash and burn homie!!

The only thing I can think of is that in gnarly deep moguls the ski is a little slow edge to edge which is to be expected due to the large waist. The graphic is awesome, love the brand and am ridiculously stoked on this ski!

I have taken this ski all over the mountain in conditions ranging from bullet proof groomers to waist deep pow and it holds it own in everything. I like to have a quick fun ski that I can blow out the tail or get buttery when the opportunity presents itself but still be stable and dependable at high speeds or in variable snow. If that sounds like you then the Opus is a ski you will dig on. I am 5'11" and 170lbs I ski the 185 for the versatility but If I was looking to ski this sled on deep days and bigger lines only I'd probably move up to the 192.

Comments about Line Skis Mr Pollard's Opus Skis 2014:

I was afraid these skis would be too easy to push around, all surf and no charge at all. I watched EP in all the videos and he has skills I can only hope for. At 55 years old (170lbs), let's face it I don't care if a ski can land a 30' cliff drop. I wanted something that was pure fun to be on in the deep, and I found them. After one demo ride I purchased the 2014 185's. The first day they felt good. The balanced flex of these skis took me a day to get use to; I was more accustomed to a little more support up front. The second day I got a little more centered over the skis, and wow, they rip. These skis inspire me to be playful, and ski with more confidence; they make me a better skier. I don't get to ski 40 or 50 days a season, more like 15-20 on a good year. Most of those days are in the back country. My Idea of a groomer is the tracks the Snow Cat leaves in the snow. Yes they can smear a turn any time you want, but the good news is, they only spear it when you want it. I feel like they give me the control to ski however I want. I love to ski the trees, these things rock !!! I've had them, heli skiing, snowcat skiing and even one day at the resort. The resort day was with my wife and allowed me to work on my 360's and skiing switch. Thank you, Mr. Pollard. I wanted playful and these things make me want to play.
