Line Skis EP Pro Shorty Skis 2011: If you’re frustrated trying to shred pow on skinny kids skis or adult pow skis that are too long and expensive, that’s because you’re an in betweener that everyone forgot to make skis for. Line has your back with the Pollard-approved, Line Skis EP Pro Shorty Skis, a real powder ski in your size.
Shape
The Line Skis EP Pro Shorty has an early rise tip and tail 20cm x 6mm and an early taper tip and tail. This means the tip effortlessly rises out of powder and stays on the top while reducing tail drag and hooking in pow. The G Cut Geometry is a 5 radius sidecut with the tightest in the tail that creates powerful turn exits and less unwanted tip hooking.
Construction
4-D Fibercap Construction combines with G-Cut Geometry, an extruded base, and the Early Rise tip & tail to make the ski 50g lighter per ski to reduce swing weight.
Flex
The Line EP Pro Shorty Skis’ Aspen Macroblock core make these skis durable and responsive. Symmetric flex gives you the same ski flex in-front and behind your boot making the ski handle terrain the same riding forward & fakie
Binding Compatibility
Requires a wide brake binding with a brake width between 110mm and 115mm

Comments about Line Skis EP Pro Shorty Skis 2011:

I'm mainly an off-trail skier with a penchant for tight trees, but I like to have reasonable carve capabilities for when trail riding is a must. Not easy to find a ski that maneuvers tight and precise both on and off trail, but this one does it and provides a relaxed, light, fun ride in all cases. OK, not ideal for moguls, ultra high speed straightlining, ice walls, or massive cliff hucks, but for the 95% of Western big-mountain skiing that's not on death's edge, this beats everything I've tried. Nearest competitor is the Icelantic Nomad which I also own. The Nomad has practically the same length and shape but is heavier, beefier, and not as rockered so carves harder and holds onto ice better, but in trade is not as nimble or relaxed as the EP Pro. I recommend neither for Eastern U.S. conditions, but they are ideal one-quiver skis for the Sierras, Rockies and Andes and the adventurous advanced but not extreme skier, with the EP Pro being superior for powder thanks to its camber profile, and should be better for touring thanks to its lighter weight.

    What up shorty?

Comments about Line Skis EP Pro Shorty Skis 2011:

This is absolutely the best ski for the groms out there trying to slash some pow, but can't find a ski wide enough. This Pollard Pro Model inspired ski has the dimensions of a fat pow ski, but in the shorter sizes. The minis are soft allowing the ski to flex in all the right places but still super stable. Face shots all day!
