Line Skis Afterbang Skis 2011: It took four years to develop the line Skis Afterbang Ski, but only one to become Line Ski’s #1 selling freestyle ski. Why? There’s quite simply nothing else like it. It’s jammed full of the most innovative jib specific technologies for a fun, playful, jibtastic good time, giving skiers the creative performance advantage no other ski can.
Shape
The true twin shape allows for backwards skiing and landings.
Construction
Skate Deck Construction includes a 7-ply Rock Maple veneer Skate Deck that runs edge–to–edge, tip–to–tail. Just like a skateboard deck, the Maple veneer provides uncompromised strength and resistance to shock throughout the entire ski.
Flex
Top veneer layers end at a specific point in front and behind the binding to create a distinct “hinge” point that allows smooth, controllable nose and tail presses and buttering that doesn’t restrict all-mountain handling. The symmetric flex puts flex in front and behind your boot which conforms to terrain equally riding forward and backwards.
Binding Compatibility
Requires a wide brake binding with a brake width between 90mm and 95mm

Comments about Line Skis Afterbang Skis 2011:

These skis are my favorite skis. I beat the [*] out of my skis and these skis hold up amazingly. Sure they don't float the best but it is a park and jibbing ski. I do ride them in the powder though and they are decent. Have taken them off of some 25 foot drops and have stomped the landing. They ski switch great, and are easy to butter with. They are fun for all around jibbing especially if you don't tune your edges and let them get rounded over.

Comments about Line Skis Afterbang Skis 2011:

The Afterbangs are great for beginner/intermediate skier's who want to do park runs. They are NOT good for powder or even all-mountain.. They can do groomed , but anything after that and they feel heavy and don't float. They don't really hold wax well, so they might feel a little slow, but that really isn't a problem in the park, just start a few feet higher than you normally would!!

I recommend this to skier's who already have an all-mountain ski and are looking for a park-specific ski! These skis are very playful in the park, and although I wouldn't recommend hitting 30+ foot jumps, these skis are perfect for anything under 30 and for all rails! Happy skiing!!

Comments about Line Skis Afterbang Skis 2011:

I use these primarily for jibbing and smaller jumps and urban. The rounded edges make downhill riding somewhat more difficult, but make it easy to stomp rail tricks. Skiing backwards is pretty easy with them because they're true twin tips. Their pop is so great it's unbelievable. I can pop like 4 feet high of a tiny lip. It's superb. The only bad thing about them is the paint flakes off from the edges a bit, but besides that they take abuse great. Super fun skis, I definitely recommend them.

Great ski super fun, but the basses are slow on some days. i would defiantly recommend them if u are mostly in the park or have a powder/wider skis when it snows more then 6 inches. less then 6 inch they can handle the mountain great. just a fun ski all over the mountain when there isn't too much new snow
