Line Afterbang Skis 2010: We slide across pavement, steel and wood. We jib benches, grind concrete ledges, and air over stairs & fences. The more gnarly the terrain, the more risky the trick, the more satisfaction we get when stomping it. When we slam, we slam hard, but when we get back up off the stairs, the ground, the road, we try again, with only more determination. If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. The Line Afterbang is for the mindset that fuels the progression of the sport. Take a deep breath and think different, ride different, be different, and the world will never be the same… Ski & Destroy.

Got to demo this ski at a dealer demo back in March 2009. The ski was super soft and agile. Turned when I wanted it to and popped me out far and high. The Afterbang is a medium/soft flexing ski off the shelf, but once broken in, the multi-layer wood construction flexes soft and consistently . If laying down easy butters is in your repertoire, get this ski. Best used in the park and pipe. The gentle flex makes landing off balance easy to recover from. Can ski all-mountain and pow but there are far better skis for that. Perfect for rails. Possibly the best bang for your buck jibbing ski on the market. Definitely takes the cake if you break a pair for making it affordable to get a second set. Do not buy this ski if you prefer a stiffer flex or are not riding in the park on a regular basis. A definite slam dunk for anyone spending 80-90% of their time in the park or riding urban jibs.

Great skis, they have good pop and mob the park. Although i've only had mine for 2 weeks and my edge dented in and made a big bumb on the bottem of the ski from the edge being damaged. I guess its and easy fix though.

Comments about Line Skis Afterbang Skis 2010:

This ski was lively and fun. The symmetrical shape was solid for switch riding/landing,everything was very smooth. Also, I love the Santa Cruz graphics, I like the artistic direction here.

The Afterbang probably isn't the best all-mountain ski, but great for park and messing around on random jumps and jibs at your local hill.

Comments about Line Skis Afterbang Skis 2010:

I can't believe the construction, they really are built like a skateboard. I used them at Windell's this summer and they are sick for buttering and presses and plenty solid for big jumps too. So revolutionary in construction with dopest graphics I've ever seen on a ski.

Comments about Line Skis Afterbang Skis 2010:

I beat up every piece of equipment I own; Riding down stairs, sliding across pavement, jibbing trees and rocks, grinding rusty handrails, and slapping landings off of jumps. The Afterbangs are hands down the best skis I have ever had the privilege of strapping to my feet.

I came into the season looking for a ski that fit my style of skiing, which Line describes as a "Jib Ninja", and definitely got what I asked for:

-The 100% symmetrical flex pattern makes for "buttery smooth"... butters, and huge poppy ollies and nollies, without compromising control.
-With correctly tuned and detuned edges (underfoot), The Afterbangs can grip rails and turns alike.
-This Ski loves urban style tricks, but also handles any size jump, without making landings difficult (Flex doesn't cause washout).

        There are few downsides to this ski. The only issues I have are;

-The base of the ski does not hold wax for long. This does not mean that it get scratched easily, just that it need frequent tuning; which is not a problem if you have some wax and an iron in the basement.
-The top sheet does not hold stickers... which is not a problem since it has such a nasty graphic which I always get comments on. The top gets smudged, just like a skateboard graphic, adding a cool effect (some may not like this).
-The side splinters a little after a season's use. This does not affect performance.

        Bottom Line:
Sick ski for all "Park Rats" and "Jib Ninjas" alike.

Comments about Line Skis Afterbang Skis 2010:

Just got the 177's, they look sick, I love the graphics!

the color is not what it shows above, the base's are white with green lettering and blue borders.

the tops where there aren't graphics are brown wood with a slight orange hue.

overall they still look sick (although I'm disappointed the base's aren't green) and the graphics are exactly the same as the pictures above!

I fell in love with these skis the first time that I rode them and I haven't looked back since. They are not only fun to ride, but are extremely functional. Absolutely the best ski ive ever ridden, for great a price. They can even stand up to the beating that I give them on the slopes every day.
