Product Info

Even though the Liberty Genome Skis are borderline obese with their 141 mm waist width, they are still quite nimble. Think of them as a skinny man in a fat suit. With a tip and tail Bomb Rocker and a light weight bamboo laminate core, the Genomes can float, pivot and romp deep snow with ease, but still lay down tracks on harder snow thanks to their camber under foot. Be a believer with the Genomes from Liberty

Product Details

Rocker Type

Bomb RockerBomb Rocker features full tip and tail rocker with slight positive camber under foot for maximum flotation and a playful feel.

Flex Rating: 5.5 (1 Softest - 10 Stiffest)Full flex in the tip and tail, a mid flex in front of the binding, and stiff under foot

Bamboo BackboneEvery Liberty ski features a hand-made, bamboo/poplar laminate core that is light, strong, lively and eco-friendly. Each core and flex pattern is fine tuned for the intended application, but starts with the strength and durability of bamboo to provide a dependably energetic ride, time after time. If you've never ridden a bamboo-core ski, definitely give it a try.

Quadaxial FiberglassLiberty's custom E-Glass creates torsional stability while allowing easy longitudinal flex to initiate turns and absorb terrain.

DurathaneA polyurethane bumper to smooth out the ride and protect against topsheet chipping

WhitewallsA rugged and repairable sidewall material with a layer of rubber below for smooth riding and exceptional durability - Liberty's Whitewalls are made of UHMW which is more resilient than ABS, and can be repaired with P-Tex if you do manage to gouge a hole in them.

P-Tex 2000A fast, porous and durable base from the industry leaders

HRC 48Liberty's specially treated HRC 48 edges feature a wider profile with larger anchors for greater durability and longer life.

Comments about Liberty Genome Skis 2014:

I got the genomes last year and had the chance to take em out to Mammoth in middle of April. It wasnt quite fresh pow, it snowed 2 days earlier and the mountain was wind packed. Went to the highest point on Panorama and dropped right below the lift. It is steep and gnarly in those first 50 feet. The Genomes are so light weight, my 60 year old body had no problem jumping them from side to side. Grip on that not so optimal snow was amazing and my wife and I had an enormous amount of fun. Get the right ski and life is fun. We own the helix and the double helix and knowing those skis I had not one shred of doubt that this ski will deliver. Despite its enormous side cut (140mm under foot) the ski holds a nice straight line on groomers. A ski that transfers confidence as soon as you start gliding! And to be clear: I do not embellish my experiences or assessments. For me, Liberty is the best ski out there right now. I have tested and owned numerous wide skis: Rossi, 4Frnt, K2, Armada, Coreupt, all falling short in comparison to the libertys. Truly.
