Lib Tech NAS POW Series Skis 2008 – What Lib Tech has to say for their NAS POW Series Skis: “Almost every snowboarder knows someone or has seen someone on the mountain carrying two dangerous harpoons. We’ve observed them affixing a snowboard to each foot. Mike Wilson and Tory Bland helped us design some narrow ass snowboards specifically tailored to the needs of these harpooners.” Yes, NAS does stand for Narrow Ass Snowboards. Those of us who two plank may be tempted to shoot a sizzling retort right back, but the truth is, Lib Tech is right. These Narrow Ass Snowboards are in no way traditional, they are a step in the right direction, the direction of straight up, sick innovation for the pow. Though the snowboarders at Lib Tech have been terrified when watching someone carry dangerous harpoons to the nearest stash of pow, they have decided to provide an option that should have harpoon-strapping skiers excited. There are bumps in these skis. Yes, little bumps, tiny waves, small squiggles that sit before and behind your feet to provide a progressively less aggressive turn initiation. This results in a catch-free tip and tail, better control, and all this is backed up by the sheer width of a pair of fatty planks that can float over anything. Lib Tech’s motto is if you have to ski, you might as well ski the very best way you can, on two skinny ass snowboards.
