Narrow ass snowboarding at its finest. Magne-Traction edges, Rocker Entry reCURVE technology, and one of the strongest eco friendly cores on the market, the Lib Tech Magic Horsepower NAS ReCurve HP Skis are pure magic! Mt.Baker local Tory Bland and the Lib Tech crew designed and rides these skis so you can rest assured knowing your getting some sweet sticks. Magne-Traction edges gives you excellent edgehold when you're flying down hardpacked groomers or untouched pillow line, while the reCURVE rocker gives you lift and float for a catch-free ride.
Rocker Type
All Terrain / Pow Recurve - reCURVE Magne-Traction lifts your tip and tails from ends of camber to traditional contact points, creating a “dynamic early rise” when boot pressure is applied to center of short camber. Easy float in broken snow and pow, mild pre-initiation for hardpack and ice carving, catch-free for jib presses. Pow specific reCURVE incorporates the additional float, lift and pre-initiation of rocker beyond the short camber fulcrum.

Flex
7.5 out of 10 on Lib Tech's Flex rating. 10 being firm.
Core
Basalt - Basalt is produced in a clean, pure process consisting of high heat and absent of toxic additives. Not only is it safer for humans, it’s easier to recycle. Basalt fiber has strength properties much higher than fiberglass and better damping properties for a smooth ride.
Naskar - Narras-Ass Snowboard Kontrolled Active Response. Cores from hand-selected dead trees
Horsepower Construction - Features all basalt, no traditional fiberglass, beans top material, and Columbian Gold Eco Timer Core, Volcanic Organic Power Banana performance.
Laminates
Quasi-Isotropic Fiberglass Power layers - Strength, power, and pop
Anvi-Tech Damping Layer - Absorbs impact
Topsheet
Bio-Plastic Beans - ExperiMENTAL division leader Mike Olson loves beans! When he’s not eating them he’s buying plastics made with them. Lib Tech has made a commitment to using a new earth friendly, bio-plastic top skin made from beans that features the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any top sheet in the industry.
Sidewalls
Correct Sandwich - Super light spin weight! the perfect blend of pickets and mustard. UHMW sidewalls, power transfer internal sidewalls, torsionally loose.
Ultra High Molecular Weight P.E. Speed Walls - Tough. Great wax retention
Base
Sintered UHMW Base - Super tough base aterial that holds wax well due to its compression formed amorphous polymer structure. Super fast when waxed with OneBallJay
Edges
Steel (Metal) Edges OTB - Steel edges on the bottom. Easy to maintain, gets the job done.
Magne-Traction - Steak knife technology that turns ice into powder! Magne-Traction adds edgehold and focuses the control and power under your feet where your balance is centered. Each bump or serration is strategically sized and positioned. The most aggressive bumps are in the center near and under your boot for maximum edgehold and control. The bumps are progressively less aggressive out towards the tip and tails creating catch-free user friendly tips and tails.

Specs

  • Terrain: All-Mountain, Powder
    All-Mountain
All-mountain skis are designed to handle anything you throw at them including powder, ice, groomers, steeps, heavy snow, and everything in between, but they aren’t necessarily a master of any one terrain. If you’re only going to own one ski to do it all, this is what you want. All-mountain skis generally have what we call mid-fat waists that range from 80-110 mm.
    Powder
These skis are for the deep days. If you like to find powder stashes at your local resort, go on backcountry missions for the freshest of fresh or heli ski trips to BC, powder skis are what you need to stay afloat. Skis in the powder category are wide and most often have some form of rocker or early rise plus a relatively soft flex. Many powder skis today are versatile enough to handle mixed conditions and harder snow.
  • Ability Level: Advanced-Expert
    Advanced-Expert
Whether you charge the steepest lines, carve with race-like precision, hit the biggest jumps or halfpipes; advanced to expert level skis/snowboards are for the more aggressive rider. You will often find the addition of layers of metal, carbon, bamboo, or other stringers in these. These features work to make a stiffer ski/snowboard with more power and rebound.
  • Rocker Type: Rocker/Camber/Rocker
    Rocker/Camber/Rocker
Rocker/Camber/Rocker skis have the playfulness and float of a rockered ski as will as the added edge hold of a cambered ski. The contact points on skis with this profile are closer towards the middle of the ski than a fully cambered ski, but still not underfoot. The cambered midsection provides a longer effective edge on hardpack, increasing edge hold and stability, while the rockered tip and tail provide floatation in deeper snow and allow the ski to initiate and release from turns easier.
  • Turning Radius: Medium
    Medium
17-22 m radius is best for all-mountain and park & pipe.
  • Core/Laminates: Basalt, Wood
  • Tail Type: Partial Twin Tip
    Partial Twin Tip
Partial twin tip skis have a tail that is turned up, but not as much as the tip. This gives you the ability to ski backwards and back out of tight spaces, but these skis are mainly designed to ski forward.
