K2 WayBack Skis 2012: Just like you, the K2 WayBack Skis prefer touring deep into untouched landscapes for some true soul-skiing over fighting crowds for resort lift rides any day. With the WayBack you have a super lightweight ski thanks to Paulownia wood and Bamboo, while the Carbon Web and Aspen wood makes it predictable and responsive in all conditions. With a wider 88 mm waist and All-Terrain Rocker™ in the tip, the K2 Wayback Skis will rise above it all while descending or breaking trail in fresh snow.
All-Terrain Rocker™ is designed for all snow conditions, featuring an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance and improved skinning ascent with camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
Progressive Sidecut is a combination of two different radii that enhances the versatility of wider-waist skis. This guarantees improved turn initiation and hard-snow performance.
Cap Construction is durable, lightweight, and softer, built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski.
Tip/Tail Hardware - removable plugs reveal holes that can be used to attach K2 Pre-Cut Skins or build a rescue sled
SnoPhobic tops keeps the ski light with a snow-repellent topsheet
Bio Core: a unique blend of Aspen, Paulownia, and Bamboo has a consistent density, great strength-to-weight ration, and fast-growth carbon-sequestration. The result is 15% weight savings over traditional cores and a decreased carbon footprint.
Torsion Box construction gives the ski ease, forgiveness, responsiveness, and energy.
Carbon Web is a weave of carbon strands that envelopes the Mod structure for an additional level of torsional rigidity, while still keeping the ski light.
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

Comments about K2 WayBack Skis 2012:
Have done about 50% inbounds and 50% Out in this ski. Obviously designed for the BC, but still workable for days at the resort. A bit of chatter at high speeds but overall a great ski
