K2 TalkBack Skis - Women's 2012

K2 TalkBack Skis - Women’s 2012: The K2 TalkBack Skis don’t like the crowded resort scene. Keep this feisty girl happy by taking her for a long walk and she’ll reward you with her ultralight core and carbon web stability for a whole day of backcountry adventure. The All-Terrain Rocker™ shovel makes breaking trail a breeze and skiing mixed conditions even easier. Despite the name, it will be you that is capable of going up and down all day, not the K2 TalkBack’s mood.
Shape
All-Terrain Rocker™ is designed for all snow conditions, featuring an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance and improved skinning ascent with camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
Progressive Sidecut is a combination of two different radii that enhances the versatility of wider-waist skis. This guarantees improved turn initiation and hard-snow performance.

Construction
Cap Construction is durable, lightweight, and softer, built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski.
Tip/Tail Hardware - removable plugs reveal holes that can be used to attach K2 Pre-Cut Skins or build a rescue sled
Powder Tip tapers early to avoid hooking.
SnoPhobic Topsheets keep the ski light with a snow-repellent top
Flex
Bio Core: a unique blend of Aspen, Paulownia, and Bamboo has a consistent density, great strength-to-weight ration, and fast-growth carbon-sequestration. The result is 15% weight savings over traditional cores and a decreased carbon footprint.
Torsion Box construction gives the ski ease, forgiveness, responsiveness, and energy.
Carbon Web is a weave of carbon strands that envelopes the Mod structure for an additional level of torsional rigidity, while still keeping the ski light.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

    Comments about K2 TalkBack Skis - Women's 2012:

I recently switched from Telemark to AT gear. The first time I skied with these skis, I went to the backcountry in early March. It was as if I already had been skiing on AT skis all this time--super easy and smooth. Excellent transitions and easy to make turns through the trees.

      Comments about K2 TalkBack Skis - Women's 2012:

Chose these skis because of price and specs. These are lightweight skis that will handle all sorts of conditions in the backcountry as well as groomed runs at the resort. I'm 5'4" intermediate skier, 120ish with a pack on, and the 153s are just what I was looking for. Great price, super staff at Evo!
