K2 Silencer Skis 2009 – Structurally unchanged from 2008, the K2 Silencer is an all-mountain twin with a look that’s quiet for the riders who want their moves to speak for themselves. The K2 Silencer Ski is an all-mountain pipe and park ski built for performance not just specific to the park. The cap construction of K2’s Silencer Skis gives a feather light feel without sacrificing durability. The K2 Silencer Skis have a slightly narrower footprint than the K2 Disorderly or the K2 Extreme, 80mm under foot, providing a high level of forgiveness and additional hard pack snow performance. K2’s silent but deadly Silencer Skis are the answer for riders who want a more understated look and feel that performs as well as the show-offs!

  • Torsion Box Construction:The Torsion Box Construction is the foundation for the widest range of skis designed by K2. The Silencer Skis share the common traits of ease, forgiveness, responsiveness, and energy that can be found in all Torsion Box skis.
  • Tip and Tail rivets:Aesthetically pleasing, extremely functional, tip and tail reinforcements so your ski’s tips and tails are better prepared to take a beating.
  • Triaxial Braided:This unique method produces skis that have a great deal of torsional rigidity and strength, while maintaining all the lively characteristics of a wood core ski.
  • Standard Taper:Moderately wider tip than tail maximizes directional performance and helps skis perform optimally in the forward direction.

I used this to learn tricks in the park. Super light so you can learn that spin on or spin off. Really responsive. Sometimes on a landing i would cross my skis and accidently get them caught on the rivets and wreck. When the edges bump the other ski they would scratch. The good thing is they scratch and not chip. Overall they are light responsive good ski for the money.

Great Ski for the all mountain skier. I took a chance on this ski for the price and I am glad I did! This ski is great on groomers and on fresh pow. I did hit some ice and had no problems. Great carving skis! This ski gets a little wobbley at high speeds but if your looking for a fun ski get them! The top layer does scratch easley but for the price who cares!

Comments about K2 Silencer Skis 2009:

Using these to advance my switching and maybe a few small jumps, I got them too long though, should have stuck to my 170's. When hitting the soft stuff they tend to grab real hard rather then plowing through. also a bit skittish at higher speeds.

Comments about K2 Silencer Skis 2009:

If you're seeking a flexible ski with excellent pop, then you're in luck. Along with the pop, is it's awesome maneuverability and edging to dial in your entry on to jibs or set your positioning going off a kicker. While this could be used as an all-mountain ski because of it's given stability, off-piste is not the Silencer's forte. That being said, the Silencer is bomb for attempting and executing park tricks. With this pair you'll turn the whole mountain into your personal playground. The solid red color makes for threatening look even without the ominous stick-out-like-a-sore-thumb graphics of some other skis. When you slay stunts on these planks, girls will be droppin' panties and guys will be screaming mommy.

Comments about K2 Silencer Skis 2009:

I am of the opinion that no skis are worth paying [$] for. Therefore, I bought these to pretty much try and break them with backcountry/glades runs. The skis held up well and really took a beating (quite well). They don't float as well as I would like.. but the reason probably being I am 230+ pounds (6'5"). I know these are recommended for lighter riders.. but I still had fun with them. I like the subtleness of the design and the spiderman-red color. Good skis to have when you are spring skiing with little cover and could care less about scratching them out. You can always buy another pair next season when you keep it cheap.

pretty insane ski! I grew up skiing and switched to snowboarding about 10 years ago. I wanted to get back into s set of ski's and not pay a million dollars for them. These ski's are it! The last time I was on skis was a while ago and i cant tell you how nice these are for the price. Smooth, great carving and grip. I am completely happy with these ski's and wish the season was a little longer...Oh well, time to get on the wakeboard.
