Product Info

The K2 Sight Skis are a pair of snappy, responsive resort skis. The All-Terrain Rocker makes them more versatile than just a park ski, but still able to stomp with the best of them. The Sight has camber underfoot for grip on hard snow, but the ski is more than capable in the soft stuff. All this will become crystal clear once you've got the Sight.

Product Details

Rocker Type

All-Terrain RockerDesigned for all ability levels, All-Terrain Rocker adds versatility and ease in all snow conditions. This profile features an elevated tip and tail for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edgehold in firmer conditions.

Shape

Directional TaperA moderately wider tip than tail maximizes the ski’s performance in the forward direction. This means the ski makes a slightly different arc when skiing switch

Core

AspenA wood known for its strength and durability

Laminates

Triaxial BraidTriaxial braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around a wood core to enhance torsional rigidity and add control. Developed in 1988 by K2 engineers, the patented triaxial braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled wood core. This unique method produces skis with great torsional strength while maintaining the lively flex patterns inherent in wood.

Sidewalls

TwinTech SidewallTwin Tip specific construction increases the durability of K2 sidewall skis. Traditional sidewall construction produces a 90 degree angle where the top material and sidewall meet. The TwinTech construction rolls the top material into the sidewall, reducing the topsheet angle and making the ski less prone to damage from your edges.

Base

Swap BaseSki bases are made with inverse colors so that less material is wasted.

Additional Features

Tip and Tail Hardware - Rivets for durability

Binding Compatibility

Bindings not included

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

It's called a park ski but honestly it's an all mountain ski. I needed a ski to ride the park a fair amount but do a lot of hard charging and quick turning on the rest of the mountain, and this fit the bill. Good sidecut for some snappy turns, and it's stable in bumps and long GS turns as well. Handles some powder nicely too at 85mm underfoot. Graphics are sweet. The topsheet nicks and dings easily from the skis hitting each other but who cares. On some hard turning on very steep, hard snow it would begin to chatter kind of bad, but it isn't a problem. Overall it's a great ski if you need to shred the whole mountain. EVO had it for a great price and I'll definitely buy here again.

Overall great ski! It is great for everything. I mainly spend time in the park but this ski can also rip through the groomers. Pops great of jumps and rails, the camber is very helpful. Chips easily just like any other ski so its not a big deal. Graphics are sweet and the 85mm under foot can take you anywhere on the mountain.

I ski mostly on groomers bur love to go on the trees and the park 20% of the time. This ski is playful and at the same time is stiff enough to handle high speed.

Comments about K2 Sight Skis 2014:

These are great skis, after all the heavy, metal-layered expensive skis out there. These are a true all mountain ski, and although at 85mm underfoot you wouldn't think they were a powder ski, they are. I've used them in Utah and Australia, two opposite ends of the dry/wet scale, and now I have a pair in Utah, and another pair home in Australia. They let you ski the way you want to ski, and in fact feel like the classic K2s. Light, snappy, responsive and obedient. Fantastic value at this price. ski friends are jealous on their $800 sticks.

I've used these skis on the mountain and in back country so far. The k2 sights are really good at holding a grip and can float in powder too. I used them during the blizzard Juno and they held up just fine. They seem to scratch real easily though. Overall the k2 sight is a good pair of skis I would definitely buy again.

I bought these as a step up ski for my son. He's 14 and had been on a small ski and was used to being very fast and agile. He was worried about moving up to a bigger ski (159cm), but no need! He used these skis for all terrain and all parts of the mountain. He was fast and was still easily able to move around. He didn't miss his small skis at all. Great ski. Happy with the purchase. As a bonus the Evo people are so helpful.

Bought this ski as my first skis after rentals. Found it a year old so I got a really good deal on it. It is absolutely worth the price I got it for. They look awesome and feel even better. It holds a pretty good edge and is playful enough for the park while still holding up pretty well at high speeds. I'm just getting into park so it's a good transitional ski for all mountain use. There are better park and better all-mountain, but this bridges everything at a great price point for anyone. Highly recommended

Nice twin tips skis, a little bit rocked if you will compare with oldest K2 in same class. And it's doesn't make bad feelings ) So it' good. I don't feel big different between old style twin tip and new. Cause it's same geometry, but colors and how it's works with my new boots and bending make some awesome ).
If you needs twin tip and want to use ski for curving also you can take this one! But don't forget that skis not to good for deep snow cause it's is not so wide.

It's a great all mountain ski if you want just one ski and you spend a lot of time in the park. It's the first K2 ski I've owned and I will forever ride K2 after rising this.

I ski all mountain, but not super agressive like a banshee, but I also like to play in the edges and folds and do small jumps and tricks with my friends. Not all day in the half-pipe, just fun wherever I can find it. These skis are great for a little bit of everything.
