Colors displayed in alternate views may not be available
K2 Sidestash Skis 2011: Whether tracking-out your hidden in-bound stashes, or ducking the ropes to harvest week-old pow, the K2 SideStash Skis might just be the perfect tool. As you tick off your hit list, the All Terrain Shovel rocker provides both the floatation and predictability needed to flash wide open slopes, and the nimbleness required to charge tight chutes. When the frenzy’s over, the powerful metal laminate Hybritech™ sidewall construction delivers a smooth, damp, stable ride as you confidently blast through leftover crud.

  • Core and Flex Pattern:Use: Variable snow: 20%, Soft snow: 80% // Aspen is known for its inherent strength and durability, while the Paulownia is eco friendly and lightweight. Metal laminate makes this ski a higher performer with alternating layers of fiberglass and Titanal above and below the wood core. This provides damp, accurate, unshakable performance that is ideal for expert level skiers.
  • Construction:The wider waisted construction of Hybritech™ combines the accuracy and power performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight and smooth turn initiation of cap construction. Tip and tail attachment holes fit the functional needs of a backcountry skier including the ability to build a rescue sled, or construct various ski anchors.
  • Shape:Designed for those who ski off-piste, these skis are shaped to work for all disciplines from the most serious alpine touring skier to the big mountain powder ripper // All-Terrain Rocker – 70% Camber, 30% Rocker. The All-Terrain Rocker is the most versatile Baseline™ available featuring an elevated tip for variable and soft-snow performance and camber underfoot for power, energy and edge-hold in firmer conditions // Flat/notched tail
  • Special Features:Tip and tail skin attachment holes

Comments about K2 Sidestash Skis 2011:

Just skied for 7 days, early September in Portillo Chile with my new Sidestash's. Had some powder, firm conditions and rock hard big bumps. While the ski is not made for rock hard bumps, it performed well enough and had good edge grip on the icy sections. They were a dream in the powder and spring snow. Turned as well or better than my Seths. Took them up to max speed for me on the groomers carving big GS turns and they were a ball. Evo did a great job getting them to me in time for the trip and I love this ski! I ski Squaw and this ski is good for big bowls, tight chutes, trees and the runouts.

Comments about K2 Sidestash Skis 2011:

Super playful in soft snow and no speed limit on hardpack. The Sidestash is a perfect single-ski-quiver for the Northwest. At 174cm it is very nimble for trees and chutes.

Comments about K2 Sidestash Skis 2011:

I purchased the Sidestash in a 181 for this season looking to find that ideal ski that excels at everything. I have spent over 2 weeks on these in the Sierras and Utah and I could not be happier with my purchase. These skis work best for big mountain adventuring...charging steep lines, deep powder days, and the leftover crud days after a storm. Surprisingly, the skis were also quite agile cruising the groomers in the afternoons with my wife. Not your ideal tool for the bumps or the trees, but still manageable.

Comments about K2 Sidestash Skis 2011:

Exactly as advertised - a great ski for hitting the side stashes while still being able to traverse the rest of the mountain. Not as much flotation as a true all-powder ski, but then you can ski on-piste and do surprisingly well. A great ski!

Comments about K2 Sidestash Skis 2011:

So, the Sidestash may be the best touring ski option out there. Lightweight, nice flex, wide enough for pow, yet still able to carve and bust through crud. Truly a oone ski quiver, I didn't find anything this ski couldn't do. If your idea of a dope day is earning your turns and running laps on untouched terrain, the Sidestash is absolutely what you need. Hands down. Get it, just don't be afraid to go a little big in your size choice. You won't regret it.

Comments about K2 Sidestash Skis 2011:

Some skis are hard to beat and this is one of them. I was able to ski it both on the ice and in the chop and it did very well. With a little early rise in the shovel and a vertical sidewall, this ski does very well all over the place.

It's big brother the Darkside is awesome for huge terrain and going large, but the Sidestash is just so right for so many things. Soft snow, an occasional groomer here and there, a short tour (buy Dukes and get the pre-cut marker skins....don't be a fool) or anything else, this is just a great ski.

Comments about K2 Sidestash Skis 2011:

Great ski! It's really light weight so easy to move around, floats on top of the powder like you expect it to. The tips have a nice curve up so you never do a nose dive. My concern was when you got on the groomers but found the ski to be great...easy to carve, light, and with good side cuts so you can keep an edge. Only negative was I crossed tips a few times and the decals sort of easily scraped off...not a big deal to me.

                Overall, really really happy!
