K2 SideKick Skis - Women's 2012: Do you spend the morning enjoying your favorite inbounds stashes and the afternoon heading out the backcountry gates to get even more fresh tracks? K2 has the weapon of choice for you with the wider K2 SideKick Skis. The All-Terrain Rocker™ with a new longer rise provides this ski with more flotation and predictability in challenging snow and easy turn intiation for tighter chutes. These babies are powerful, confident, and versatile in any conditions.
Shape
All-Terrain Rocker™ is designed for all snow conditions, featuring an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance with camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
Progressive Sidecut is a combination of two different radii that enhances the versatility of wider-waist skis. This guarantees improved turn initiation and hard-snow performance.

Construction
Hybritech Sidewalls are a unique blend of sidewall and cap constructions that combine the accuracy, power, and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction.
Powder Tip tapers early to avoid hooking.
Tip/Tail Hardware - removable plugs reveal holes that can be used to attach K2 Pre-Cut Skins or build a rescue sled
Flex
BioFlex 3 Core (80% Aspen, 20% Paulownia): dense Aspen underfoot fused with lightweight Paulownia at the tip and tail with blended Bamboo throughout for increased performance, strength, and durability with reduced swing weight.
Triaxial Braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around the wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. This makes the ski incredibly energetic and responsive.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

      Comments about K2 SideKick Skis - Women's 2012:

So I am a long time snowboarder and tele skier and these are my first official downhill skis. I was nervous as I had read they are for advance skiers which I am not. But I must say these are Super fun and after trying some of my friends skis nothing has felt as solid as these. I especially appreciate the solid hold I feel when attempting to crank some carves just on the groomers. Cant wait to take them out back. Would give them 5 but due to my inexperience gotta leave room
