K2 obSETHed Skis 2010: Seth wanted his ski to feature the best of both worlds, rocker and camber. And what Seth wants, Seth gets. His modified tip and tail rocker design elevates floatation in soft snow and increases adaptability in crud and chopped up snow conditions. The Progressive Sidecut and regular camber underfoot give the obSETHed the overall advantage over other skis, providing quicker aggressive turn initiation on hardpack snow, but an easy smooth tail release in soft conditions. Good for Seth and good for mere mortals. Everybody wins.

  • Core and Flex Pattern:Fir core is naturally strong and durable, producing a smooth flex allowing the ski to achieve full contact with the snow throughout a turn. Medium-stiff flexibility
  • Construction:Vertical ABS Sidewall with Horizontal Die-Cut Design: impact toughness protects the core, aids in the direct transmission of power
  • Shape:Tip/Tail 10/20 Rocker Design: Tips are raised 10mm off the snow and begin their rise 20 cm from the ends of the ski. No big deal – it’s just geometry.14/12 Progressive Sidecut
  • Binding Compatibility:Requires brake width of at least 100mm

Sweet everyday go to boards. Love it for the terrain here in the NW. Great mobility because of its rocker and smooth at blowing through the harbor chop. I've used better pow skis but the ObSeth will do the job just fine.

I made the mistake of taking these out on an icerink day. They did surprisingly well for their size and shape. With a little more than usual effort they rail very well. In any other condition I can only imagine how good they can be. Can't wait to take them out in the deep!

Comments about K2 obSETHed Skis 2010:

I skiied on these all season. I skiied on them in every snow condition possible and overall these ski's can handle anything. They are stiff, responsive, and fast. I would deffinetly reccomend these skis to any advanced skier that is looking for a all mountain ski that can handle any type of snow condition; especially powder. The only "down side" to these skis are 1; they are heavy and 2; the top sheet tears and scratches easily. But overall, the 2010 K2 ObSETHed are great skis.

Comments about K2 obSETHed Skis 2010:

            Hey kids,
The Obsethed are a great all around ski. They aren't as soft as the hellbents and the regular sidecut with the late rocker allows you to really tear it up on the groomers. Although they are powder skis, they certainly aren't Armada ARGs or any of the reverse camber/sidecut skis that can't be ridden anywhere but deep deep powder. Powder on the obsethed is a traditional feel with great floatation.
If you're planning on landing switch in the powder a lot make sure to center mount them. Although I mainly ride mt baker, I ski them quite a bit in Southern California and they hold up really well even when there's no new snow.
In the park, they hold their own as well. Butters are a snap and I can throw down nines on them and mine are set up with heavy Marker baron AT bindings. You might have to crank a little harder then kids on line invaders but at least on that big powder day, you would be waiting in line for the park to be dug out.
If you can't afford a quiver, the obsethed is a really great all around ski. If you can afford it, which I can't, you might be better off with something a little smaller for the park and something a little bigger for the powder like vokl chopsticks. Regardless, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Comments about K2 obSETHed Skis 2010:

I got these to be my go-to, do-it-all skis. They have done that and then some. I have skied this almost every day this season. I spent a few days on other skis... regretted it. They are awesome in techy lines with any kind of snow. They love pow and heavy stuff, but I was amazed at how well they smash through chunder and carve on hard-pack. I have them mounted at +5 from traditional, making the tail poppy for airs, and the ski nice and balanced for pillows.
