Product Info

With the K2 MissDirected Skis the ladies finally get perfect blend of playfulness, floatation and stability for bagging big lines or bouncing off pillows in anything from the driest champagne powder to the heaviest mashed potatoes. Skiers will be impressed by the ski’s lightweight and nimble feel, yet surprised at how well it holds an edge on variable and even firmer snow thanks to its distinct camber underfoot.

Product Details

Shape

Powder Rocker™The tip is designed for deep snow with the most elevated tip and longest measurement of rocker. All-Terrain Rocker™ in the tail is designed for all snow conditions, featuring an elevated tail for variable and soft snow performance and camber underfoot for power, energy, and edgehold in firmer conditions.

Directional TaperA moderately wider tip than tail maximizes the ski’s performance in the forward direction. This means the ski makes a slightly different arc when skiing switch.

Powder TipPulls the widest point of the tip further down the ski, which retains float in soft snow, and also minimizes deflection in adverse snow conditions.

Flex

BioFlex 3 CoreA combination of 80% dense Aspen core underfoot is fused with 20% lightweight Paulownia at the tip and tail to reduce swing weight with blended Bamboo throughout for strength and durability.

Triaxial BraidingConsists of braiding fiberglass around the wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control, making the ski incredibly energetic and responsive.

TwinTech ConstructionIncreases the durability of K2 sidewall skis by rolling the top material into the sidewall, reducing the angle that is prone to abuse.

Graphics

**Please note that base colors will alternate and may not arrive exactly as pictured.

Additional Features

Tip/Tail HardwareRivets originally designed for durability now have the additional option of attaching K2 Trim To Fit Skins for climbing.

3.5mm Edges are thicker and far more resistant to cracking.

Swap BaseSki bases are made with inverse colors so that less material is wasted

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

    Comments about K2 MissDirected Skis - Women's 2013:

Incredible ski! Easily floats in powder and cuts through crud as expected with 117mm underfoot. Camber allows for suprisingly decent grip on hard pack- took these to the resort on an icy day to experiment and was impressed by their carving ability. Only place they faltered was moguls but all in all an incredible ski that is best served in the backcountry and can still be used at the resort.

    K2 MissDirected 169cm

    Comments about K2 MissDirected Skis - Women's 2013:

This ski would be ideal for a lightweight girl looking to ski a lot of luxury powder! Personally I found the ski a little too soft for my taste, but I could see it being a great, maneuverable ski when the snow is deep enough. Because of the soft flex and small amount of effective edge, the ski is very pivoty and somewhat wobbly at high speeds, despite the wider waist. I wish they made the ski in a 179cm for women, as I think the 169cm is a tad too short for someone of substantial weight, height and ability.

      Comments about K2 MissDirected Skis - Women's 2013:

These skis are the width of a snowboard when put together! They made my powder day 10x more enjoyable as it plows through anything. We just got 36" of snow and they handled like a champ. They're a bit heavy, but I'm also 110lbs. The one thing I was not happy with is the K2 graphic on the bottom of the ski. One is lifted a bit from manufacturing and it is not flesh with the rest of the bottom. Luckily the camber keeps this part off the snow, not affecting me. But still, c'mon k2!

I'm gearing up for a cat trip in BC. My sister has these skiis and told me they are a total blast, so, I tracked down a pair in the closeout section and bought them! I'm looking forward to trying them out!

Fun in powder, handles well on groomers, but not so great for trees. They love carving up the pow, and when it gets chundery they keep you from getting too chattery.

        Skiin' the Deeeeeeep

        Comments about K2 MissDirected Skis - Women's 2013:

Awesome pow ski. Front rocker gives enough float to ski aggressively through deep powder without needing to keep too backseat. Camber underfoot keeps you a bit grounded out of the pow, which I liked.
