K2 Kung Fujas Skis 2012

K2 Kung Fujas Skis 2012: Pep Fujas does it all: pillow lines in the morning, tree skiing after that, and park laps all afternoon. The K2 Kung Fujas is all you need to make the whole mountain your playground. This ultimate one-ski quiver has All-Terrain Rocker™ and an over 100mm waist to take on every type of terrain and snow condition you throw at it. So you can take the Fujas in the park, the pow, the ice, why not take it one step further by throwing a pair of K2 Pre-Cut Skins on it and set off on a backcountry mission?
Shape
All-Terrain Rocker™ is designed for all snow conditions, featuring an elevated tip and tail for variable and soft snow performance and camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.
Bi-Directional Taper Sidecut gives a ski with slightly wider tip than tail the ability to perform exceptionally well while skiing in the forward direction, but with a similar switch arc for more consistent switch riding.
Construction
TwinTech Construction increases the durability of the sidewalls. Unlike a traditional sidewall, this construction rolls the top material into the sidewall reducing the angle that is prone to abuse.
Tip/Tail Hardware - removable plugs reveal holes that can be used to attach K2 Pre-Cut Skins
3.5mm steel edges are durable and far more resistant to cracking.
Flex
Aspen and Paulownia core: Aspen is solid and dense; Paulownia is an eco-friendly, fast-growing renewable wood that is incredibly strong and lightweight.
Triaxial Braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around the wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. This makes the ski incredibly energetic and responsive.
Binding Compatibility
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.

Comments about K2 Kung Fujas Skis 2012:

The new 2011 model saw a wider footprint. The 2012 is an updated graphic with the same versatile freestyle platform. It's softer flex and large sweet spot make it ideal for almost skier ability. With the rocker tip and tail i was confident in pow that my skis wouldn't dive. It's extremely playful in the park, powder and groomers.

Comments about K2 Kung Fujas Skis 2012:

Kills it in every condition. Easy and playful ski. No problem getting serious when you have to ride through chop. Great from bowls to groomers. Only thing I would say I did not like was the stiffness of the ski. I would like a little stiffer ski I am 6' 210 lbs and was riding the 179s. Still great for everything from park to back country. Entire K2 line is awesome. Definitely recommend schizo's on this ski. Very useful to go from park to back bowls.

i live on the east coast but ski mostly out west several weeks at a time, mostly steep and deep, and have found this to be one of the most forgiving and fun skis i have owned in the last 20 years.
