Product Info

K2 HellBent Skis 2011: This is the ski that started the “Fat Twin” revolution. The 2011 K2 HellBent Ski’s new 132mm waist and Powder Rocker Technology provides unrivaled floatation in the deepest conditions and makes switch and regular pow landings feel like autopilot. Not just a pow ski, the K2 HellBent Skis give you the ability to carve your way down to the bottom or back to the lift which makes it the ideal ski for Andy Mahre, Sean Pettit and you.

Product Details

Shape

Unlike other categories in the K2 line, the twin tips are designed to perform both forward and switch

Powder Rocker – 50% Rocker, 50% Camber. Designed for deep snow, the tip has the most elevation and the longest measurement of rocker and offers skiers a “surfy” feel with enhanced soft-snow performance. The camber region still exists to ensure edge-hold on firmer conditions.

Construction

The new Twin Tip Specific construction of TwinTech increases the durability of sidewall skis. A traditional sidewall construction produces a 90 degree angle where the top material and sidewall meet. The Twin Tech construction actually rolls the top material into the sidewall reducing the angle that is prone to abuse. K2 uses ABS sidewalls because of the dense characteristics and impact toughness that not only aid in the direct transmission of power but also make it very durable and resistant to moisture

Flex

Use: Powder: 666%, Park: 10%

Triaxial braiding in the core consists of braiding fiberglass around a wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. The patented machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled fir/aspen wood core. This unique method produces skis with great torsional strength, while maintaining the lively flex patterns of the wood core.

Binding Compatibility

Flat or the Marker Griffon SchozoFrantic capability - The K2 SchizoFrantic inserts allow for super-fast mounting of the new K2/marker Griffon SchizoFrantic binding system without the need for drilling. Additionally, the increased surface area of the insert rings provides 67% the pullout strength of standard binding screws

Requires wide brake bindings with a brake width of 132mm+
