K2 Extreme Skis 2009- Get extreme, like Aspen Extreme, with the K2 Extreme Skis. Previously the K2 Public Enemy, the Extreme offers the perfect blend of retro graphic style and progressive K2 ski technology. The K2 Extreme will have you packing up and leaving home, to become a ski bum in no time. These all-mountain performers hold up with the same torsional strength and durability as their predecessor. Stealth Black rivets in the K2 Extreme Skis tip and tail give this ski the extra strength to take a beating in the park. Extreme landings and terrain ripping riding are easy with the K2 Extreme Skis and the modern twin tip flair means you can land switch from the drop with ease. K2 built the Extreme to be the absolute best in-bound twin tip ski available today.
Other Features
Triaxial Braided: This unique method produces skis that have a great deal of torsional rigidity and strength, while maintaining all the lively characteristics of a wood core ski.
Standard Taper: Moderately wider tip than tail maximizes directional performance and helps skis perform optimally in the forward direction.
Black stealth rivets: Aesthetically pleasing, extremely functional, tip and tail reinforcements so your ski’s tips and tails are better prepared to take a beating.
Vertical Urethane/ABS Hybrid Sidewalls: A softer durometer than the traditional ABS lessens the impact of harsh landing and blows to the rider. ABS towards tips and tails provides Extreme damage resistance and urethane underfoot absorbs impacts. Sidecut: 14mm

my favorite ski

This is by far my favorite skis. Awesome all mountain ski. Can handle powder, backcountry, and the park also. Second season on them and I can't let them go.

I'm a skier that ski's park 95% of the time. The ski's ok, and I think the reviews are way overhyped. Its a heavy ski, and its stiff, but great when I hit bigger jumpes, the base and edges hold so nicely, put it has the worst duribility of any ski I've seen because of the topsheet. The sheet was like coming off after 2 hours of riding, it just peels off. But it does not ever go to the wood core, they have a clear layer that covers the core, and I can not touch and wood. If your a park focus buyer, not for you.

Comments about K2 Extreme Skis 2009:

These skis are great freestyle all mtn skis. Their not the best of the best when it comes to park, but they're still great at it. All mountain is great though, because they rip the groomers, pow thats not too deep, moguls, glades, and steeps. They're a bit heavy but its no big deal you get used to that, but they chip really easily on the sidewalls, but look at almost every park ski review, it all says scratches easily. I would recomend these skis if you like park but all mtn is your main focus

Comments about K2 Extreme Skis 2009:

I have had these skis for a little over a month and love them. The ease of use to ski blacks and then hit up the terrain parks is unbelievable. Great all around ski let alone a twin tip. I was able to pull off a few new moves on these already and look to do a few more. Great ski, i would recommend to everyone!

Comments about K2 Extreme Skis 2009:

I ski park all the time at my home mtn and wen im up in the bigger mtns im in the trees all day. i got these after ski season ended for the gud prices and they like chipped in like 2 days from just handling them. if its not too late DO NOT BUY THEM IF PARK RIDING IS IMPORTANT TO YOU. they r too heavy and the only reason they sell so gud is cause they look so cool. if u ski all mtn and maybe slip into the park once or twice these r ok but like park is impossible bottom line im gunna return them and cut out my losses and return these and get a different pair. i hope the ski shop takes them back

Comments about K2 Extreme Skis 2009:

i use the extreme skis for mostly park and everday riding and they work great. this is defenetly the best ski i've skied compared to my 06 fujatives and my 08 anthems. i'm not going to lie i'm not the best at park even know i'm in there alot, but look at pk hunder doing swicht dub corks at the x games. It was a little hard to get used to these doing all mountain at first but after about 4 days of riding these i was riding just as good as before.

Comments about K2 Extreme Skis 2009:

I recently demo'd these skis cause i heard they were fun. 1st time skiing in 5 years, and it felt like i hadn't lost anything. I've seen people from entry level to people tossing 9's without effort, and heard the same thing from everyone. I probably wont end up buying these particular skis, but i do recommend people to try them out if they are unsure of buying skis.

Great overall ski - it has enough stiffness to be a sturdy downhill and enough flex to be a pipe and park. A real asset to the intermediate to advanced skiier.

The extremes are the worst ski ive owned. they chip like no ones business and they way more than my sister!(big exageration) they hold up pretty good on jumps but are hard to control on rails. they are more and all mountain ski. they grip awesome on the ice and carve like a racer.

I use the extremes on pretty much anything. They are a great all mountain ski. The bases of these things are bullet proof but the tops are very brittle to the point that I could scratch them with my fingernail.
