Product Info

Yo parkrats, K2's designed the K2 Domain Skis with you in mind. The Domain specializes in surface swaps, butters, nollies, manuals, and grindage. Product Details

Rocker Type

Jib RockerFeaturing an elevated tip and tail with zero camber underfoot, Jib Rocker offers the best blend of playfulness for butters and surface tricks combined with enhanced pop for unmatched ollie power. Simply put, Jib Rocker is designed for ollies, butters, and predictable pop.

Flex

Park Flex PatternSoft enough in the tips and tails to be forgiving when you underspin that move. Stiff enough underfoot for amplitude to clear that gap.

Shape

Symmetrical TaperA symmetrical ski has a switch arc that is equivalent to its forward arc. To maximize performance, the mounting location is in the absolute center of the ski

Core

AspenA wood known for its strength and durability

Laminates

Triaxial BraidTriaxial braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around a wood core to enhance torsional rigidity and add control. Developed in 1988 by K2 engineers, the patented triaxial braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled wood core. This unique method produces skis with great torsional strength while maintaining the lively flex patterns inherent in wood.

Sidewalls

TwinTech SidewallTwin Tip specific construction increases the durability of K2 sidewall skis. Traditional sidewall construction produces a 90 degree angle where the top material and sidewall meet. The TwinTech construction rolls the top material into the sidewall, reducing the topsheet angle and making the ski less prone to damage from your edges.

Base

Swap BaseSki bases are made with inverse colors so that less material is wasted.

Additional Features

Tip and Tail Hardware - Rivets for durability

Binding Compatibility

Bindings not included

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Comments about K2 Domain Skis 2014:

After a few days in the park for the 13/14 season, these seem to ride above the average "P&P" ski. Wider bases assure confident footing on boxes and rails. Bases seem to be holding wax fairly well. Cuts through the crud and carves through the icy patches with ease. A bit on the stiff side, making it a bit more challenging to whip out butters, but gives an added warm n' fuzzy when tracking up the face of a large kicker.

Comments about K2 Domain Skis 2014:

I have yet to ride these exact skis, but I have the 2012s, which are identical in all but graphics.
I've been skiing park for a long time. I ski hard and fast, I hit big jumps, I find tranny and I beat on my skis. As a lighter skier, these work really well for me. The easy flex allows me to butter and press but never feels too noodly at my size (5' 8" ~130lbs). The solid construction allows me to land on rocks, disaster big rails and find tranny in stupid places. When mounted with the edge gap (where the edges meet) on the tails, I expect these skis to last me for two seasons, or ~150 days of pure park. The only downside is the weight, but that's a trade-off you generally have to make for durability.

Comments about K2 Domain Skis 2014:

I had these skis this season and they only lasted about a month... the sidewall started to blowout and i tried to warranty them... they blamed the sidewall damage on me because they said that the impact caused the side wall to blow out... however the sidewall was coming out of my ski before there was even a hint of it being my fault.... i'm disappointed with this because the skis felt amazing and i would have loved to keep riding them for the rest of the season, but i cant anymore because it has fully delaminated on me. this will be the only time i will ever buy a k2 product simply due to poor construction.

Comments about K2 Domain Skis 2014:

I use these skis mainly for park and they're great. They have a lot of pop to them due to the camber and rocker design. The top sheet gets banged up pretty quick, but I expected that from hitting rails and other freestyle terrain. The skis look amazing and the price is pretty cheap. I would definitely recommend these skis to anyone looking for park skis.
