K2 Bad Seed Skis – Youth 2010: Junior shredders need a wide ski too. At 85mm underfoot, the Bad Seed gives kids the chance to feel what it’s like to blast through crud and stay on top of the pow. The Bad Seed is lively and predictable in softer snow but still has plenty of sidecut for the groomers and park, making it versatile in any snow condition.

  • Core and Flex Pattern:Wood core, lightweight and snappy.
  • Construction:Torsion Box Cap: Built for ease, forgiveness, responsiveness and energy/ Built for 60% Powder and 40% Park. Triaxial Braiding gives skis a great deal of torsional or twist rigidity and strength, while maintaining the lively innate flex characteristics of its wood core

      I bought these skis for my 10 year old son. He's been luke warm about skiing in past years but, with these new skis, he is chomping at the bit to hit the slopes. He's skis groomed runs, crud, and bumps and doesn't complain about powder days anymore. These skis handle is all.

              My 9 yr old daughter got two great seasons out of hers. She even won a race on them! (She was being more aggresive in these than with her race skis, so we let her try a race in them. then she won!) great for varied terrain and conditions.
              Not really for beginners though, they should be aggressive carvers.

              My 9 /o just did a demo of these today at Alta and absolutely loved them! She is normally on a pair of Roxy 120's that are good on the groomers but lack off piste. The Bad Seed's(119's) blew through the crud and bumps great. They were a little squirly for her on some hard runs we did--I think a 129 would be better overall for her. Probably too much ski for a lower level skier or one who is not aggressive.
